Sahara Hotel, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 05
Very clean rooms, a nice little hotel. A small downside is the noise
from outside. It can become very noisy in the early morning as traders
and workmen go about their business. Also, the Aircon makes the room
very cold, so it s not worth keeping on for long. All in all a good
hotel for the price. |

Service was disgusting. Included breakfast was awful. Rooms filled
with roaches. |

Rooms must have been newly renovated--so, they are clean and functional,
except for the weak AC. The reception staff is not at all friendly;
in fact, they are downright rude sometimes. Price is okay for the
facilities in the rooms, but definitely not for the service. |

It was just a short stop on the way to Koh Tao island. The hotel wasn
t bad. Clean and big enough room (and normal bathroom). Don t eat
(and especially drink) in hotel restaurant - it s overpriced. Hotel
is near Skytrain station, which is good. Bad (personally for me as
a Jew) that it s located in area called Little Arabia. Near hotel
there is a big concentration of orthodox Muslims, icluding women in
hijabs -a little bit unusual for Bangkok. |

The room was clean, but overpriced considering it only had small frosted
windows - i.e. no outside view at all. Plus no kettle for tea or coffee
making. The worst part was checking in - I arrived at 1 a.m. after
a 26 hour journey, but there had been confusion about holding the
room available for me so late (despite the advanced payment!). There
was a worrying 20 minutes when it appeared the hotel was completely
full already, but after some protest the last available room was finally
given. |

walking distance to NANA BTS station,711 convenient store & 24hrs
supermart, hair salon & laundry just round the corner.IDD cum Internet
access shop is just infront of the hotel.Rm is clean & newly upgraded
but without direct local calling, besides HBO channel the rest are
either Thai or Middle East programme.Totally no music or English radio
station could listen inside the guestrm.Breakfast served is delicious
but portion is a bit too little. Service staff in cafe are not attentive.

The front desk needs a facelift but do not be put off by this. The
rooms are clean and of a good size with clean and decent sized bathroom.
I will stay there again as it is well located near Sukhumvit Rd |

i think the hotel is made for midgets. stayed on 1st floor, the shower
is shorter than me. to wash your hair, you have to bend. room is relatively
clean, though spotted a coackroach in the toilet. overall, i think
1200 baht for a night there is quite on the high side, i d rather
pay a little more to get someplace bigger and cleaner. |
