The hotel is quite dated. Had a strange musky/smoky smell but was
ok to stay for 2 nights. I would not recommend staying any longer.
The reception staff were very pleasent. Down the end of an alley way
from Robinsons department store (like MYER in Australia, same prices
too). Walk to monorail and to the river. 20baht boat ride to the grand
palace. Beware of dodgy ppl selling this trip for 400baht next to
shangri la hotel. Clean and adequate but nothing flash. I would not
stay here again. It is probably worth paying a few extra $$ for somewhere
nice. |

Hotel was a bit difficult to find. After reviewing previous reveiws..I
made sure I printed off a map of the hotel and it s address and tel
#. The cabby called the hotel for directions and we were there in
15 minutes..no problem! Our stay was pleasant. The rooms were very
nice. Roof top pool is a great place to take a break and cool off
from the heat & smog of the city. Close to shopping and nightlife.
Taxi to Suan Lum Night Bazaar was only $150 baht and only 15 minutes
away. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the breakfast. Slept in and
was in a mad rush to catch our next flight back home! Overall..we
were pleased with hotel. |

To begin with let me say that the hotel is located in a very shabby
street (for anybody’s standard). Further it is worth noting that Silom
is NOT a walking distance for the lighthearted. It was not too bad
for me, but I cannot imagine a family with children walking along
those congested streets without pedestrian crossings. As noted by
other reviewers it is difficult even for taxi drivers to find the
place. Rooms are nice, cosy and spacious. Air-conditioning is incredibly
loud. My friend had to turn it off since he could not fall a sleep
with its constant loud humming. Water pressure is very low. The hotel
had THE worst breakfast buffet I have ever seen and tasted (it could
not be more scarce). On the bright side, swimming pool is nice and
in very nice surroundings. Staff was very helpful and polite. All
in all I can say that I know for sure that I will never use it again.
Try Royal Benja. It is very spacious, clean, and efficient and has
an excellent location (and the restaurant is superb). |

Location is great;10 mins walk to skytrain, supermarket and also close
to highways. The hotel lobby is a bit small, the room is nice and
toilet is clean. But the Pool on the roof not very clean. Service
was gererally fast and good.Staff also very friendly & helpful. We
had our safety deposit box not working but after we complaint to them,
the technician came immediately to fix it. Breakfast is ok such as.egg,
sausage, ham, soup, bread, fried rice/noodles ,fruits, etc. Would
recommend this hotel and would stay again next time. |

Hotel looks dated from the outside and the close surroundings are
a bit shabby but that is not an issue for us . However the inside
of the hotel is nice, the room was very nice and Very large. Large
fridge. AC worked well but was a bit noisy. We stayed on third floor.
Some noice from the street but not bothering. TV had poor reception
but I am sure they would have fixed that if I had complained. Service
was gererally fast and good. Location is pefect by the river, and Skytrain.
Staff very nice, Pool on rooftop nice. Breakfast was ok but nothing
special. Would definitely stay here again. |

Nice large rooms, friendly staff, pool on the roof offers a nice relaxing
get away from the bustling streets below. The hotel is set back a bit
from the main roads (the taxi driver had problems finding it)but the
BTS is in walking distance and patpong night market is only 100 baht
to get to on the tuk tuk. Overall a good hotel for the budget traveller. |

Mid-range hotel, reasonable value for money. Back street location
could discourage some but not too far (10 minutes walk) from end of
the line -Saphan Taksin - BTS station. Junior suite has bedroom with
small lounge (TV room) and kitchenette - higher floors have a better
outlook. Breakfast buffet fairly average but adequate. Rated as OK
