Samran
Place, Petchburi Road
Had a really good stay at Samran. Aside from the fact that it was
very affordable, the room, the bed sheets, the bathroom and towels
were also clean which is very important. The staff were also courteous.
The breakfast was good enough. The additional plus points for this
hotel is the fact that it was very accessible although most of the
taxi drivers had a difficulty locating the hotel. So better make sure
that you get a calling card at the front desk which has the address
in Thai and bring it around with you. Beside the hotel is a small
massage place that offers authentic Thai massage for 200 Baht for
a 1 hr. body massage. All in all, the Samran Place was a really clean,
affordable and accessibe hotel. |

A nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Close to the sky train and shopping.
The superior room we had was a good size. Mosquitoes were a minor
problem. The breakfast selection is limited but nicely presented.
We had room 303. When it rained very heavily, the floor drain in the
bathroom back-flowed. However the mess was quickly cleaned up. We
will stay in this hotel next time we are in Bangkok if the prices
remain the same. |

The hotel is strategically located, about 5 minutes walk to the Ratchathewi
BTS station and 10-15 mins walk to Pratunam centre. Rooms were clean
and most of the hotel staffs were friendly. Advice to make bookings
1-2 months in advance as there is very high occupancy for this hotel.

The hotel itself was fine. Friendly staff and breakfast was all right...but
there were mosquitos in the room..had a hard time falling asleep because
I kept on getting bit by them. Also, no alarm clocks in the rooms...found
this to be fairly strange. But overall nice place for the price! |

It was my second time to stay here. I choose to stay here again because
I knew the rooms are clean and service is good. Location is also convenient.
Overall excellent for the price you pay. Only thing they should do
is change the power sockets so travellers don t require adaptors which
they don t have and you have to buy your own. Will choose this hotel
again on my next visit. |

Its value for money. The service was great and front office staff
are friendly. The location are great too, its only 5 minutes walk
(moderate speed) to sky train station. If you love to walk around,
you can walk to all the shopping complexes i.e MBK, Siam Paragon,
Siam Centre, Hard Rock Cafe. The facilities for the pedestrian is
so safe and convenient. |

Our taxi driver spent some time to locate the hotel on arrival.Shown
him the map printed from website and he thought its located at a small
lane, which actually just along the main road-Petchburi Road, must
mention Ratchathewi as Petchburi is a very long road.Always bring
alone hotel card with you.The hotel staff are friendly, esp the security
guard & bellboy.Bedroom is clean and big,no smell at all. A 5 min
short walk to Ratchathewi BTS.Breakfast is ok. Tried the foot massage
just next to hotel, cheap and quite good, the boss speaks mandarin.
And also a seafood restaurant, located along the street to BTS (not
those on the streets w/o aircon),worth trying. Will go back and recommand
to friends. |
