Shangri-La Hotel, New Road, Riverside
Booked a couple of nights for my 40th birthday. A great hotel with
thoughtful and attentive staff throughout. The room was wonderful
with a huge bathroom overlooking the river. The balcony presented
stunning views of the River that were extra special at night. The
food in the Salathip riverside Restaurant was superb but drinks at
the pool bar were excessively priced. Overall a great hotel. |

The Shangri-La Hotel lives up to it s great reputation. From arrival
to check out the staff is amazing. The executive balcony room was
just what needed after a very long 18 hour flight to Bangkok. The
room was very clean and had all the amenities. The business lounge
breakfast and happy hour were wonderful and the view from the 23 floor
was marvelous. Bottom line-- would stay again!!!!! |

Shangri-La Hotel, New Road, Riverside
The Shangri-La Hotel definitly lives up to it s great reputation,
we stayed 3 nights in an executive balcony room on the 18 floor overlooking
the river. The room was marvelous with all the amenities. The staff
were always helpful and friendly. The business lounge on the 23 floor
is worth the upgrade for breakfast and evening cocktial hour. Will
defintly stay again. |

Great and nice top class hotel, but for buissness travellers in black
suite! For us who are on holliday so are there other nice hotel options
that would suit us better in Bangkok. Shangri-La does not fit in to
a resort or a holliday accomandation but sure for buissness travellers
with all the top a class accomendations that you can think of. |

Shangri-La Hotel, New Road, Riverside
We had stayed in the Shangri La four times previously but not since
2000 so returned for a few days at the end of our holiday. Sadly,
we felt the hotel hadn t really changed since then - and it felt a
bit dated. Would recommend Marriott Resort if you don t want to stretch
to the Peninsula or Oriental but we were disappointed to find our
old favourite was no longer hitting the spot. |

Great room with fantastic view and exceptional room service. The staff
provided taxi service and boxing tickets. We also booked a tour to
the Ancient City through the hotels travel agency; great trip. |

Chosen just for a quiet transit night before (sigh) going back home,
it was entirely as expected: luxurious, massive (it is a huge hotel!)
and with the level of service from the staff you would expect from
a leading hotel. Overall, a pleasant experience (special praise for
the breakfast!) |
