Service was (as always) GREAT. The hotel itself is getting a little
thread worn, especially for the price. The new soft mattresses would
be nice and the bathroom fixtures need an updating. But the service
was great, the internet fast, the view of the river beautiful, and
the food was EXCELLENT as well as a touch pricey.n If you can t afford
the Oriental or Penninsula but want the river views and great service,
this is a good value. |

Due to overbooking by the hotel, we were moved to the Westin for our
first night but the Sheraton then upgraded us to a suite with a beautiful
riverview and indeed took excellent care of us. Breakfast looks a
bit like an eating factory and is too noisy, but what else can you
expect in such a huge hotel? A good choice at a reasonable price. |

Very nice hotel - we had 4 nights and were upgraded to tower room.
Well located on River with great views - always something happening.
Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent |

Very elegant, all the rooms with river-view, two swimmingpools (one
in a tropical garden), wonderfull breakfast. everything was totally
perfect - a little bit too perfect (nobody of the personal was smiling,
or even looking at me...)so did the guests. |

marvelous! this hotel is perfectly located on riverside, all is superb,
the breakfast was wonderful, the staff extremely helpful (when you
need a taxi for example or...when you lost your money!) all this hotel
is very clean and yet you never see every body washing; a great moment
in Bangkok, thank you; |

Excellent location, great staff, we especially enjoyed the swim up
pool bar our last afternoon there. The breakfast was superb...I ate
enough to not have to eat lunch. |

The hotel is very comfortable and located in the perfect spot, right
on the Chao Praya (BKK river). BKK is a very busy and polluted city
and it is good to stay in a hotel which gives some peace from traffic.
It lacks a certain charm like the Oriental but the price difference
between the 2 hotels is so wide that if I go back to BKK I d defenitely
stay at the Royal Orchid. The room was modern with a certain style,
if not lavish, certainly upscale. |
