Friendly service and good location, but those can t overcome the major!
construction adjacent to the hotel, a new hotel going up. Extremely
noisy from 7:30am to 9 pm. I didnt stay in the room during the day,
but you would not be able to rest or nap,or probably even watch TV.
Construction will probably go on for another year. Breakfast was better
than expected from others comments. Room is old and dated but clean.
Bathroom was redone, but infrastructure all appears old. Right around
the corner from the Emporium Shopping Center, and Skytrain. Even without
the construction this should be a $40/night hotel. I would stay at
the Majestic Grand (not Majestic Suites) on Soi 2 across from the
Marriott. Much better room and facilities for the same price. |

The St.James Hotel is a very nice hotel, close to the Emnplorium and
other nice shops and restaurants. The service is gentle and the woman
in charge is professional and gives good service. However the rebuilding
construction of the 6th floor oposit of my room was not very nice.
A lot of noise was created by the construction. Also in the swimming
pool was a lot of noise caused by construction work of the neighbour
building. That has made me to decide to leave the hotel three days
earlier than planned. |

a short but pleasant 1 night stay. Great service from super friendly
staff, helping with directions and orientation, and esp helping me
out when i lost my airline tickets! Restaurant is on the pricey side
but food is excellent, and the included breakfast was the best I experienced
during my 2 week trip. |

A very comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. An experience being
in a hotel that was aimed at the Japanese! |
