The Swiss lodge is a quiet small hotel in the heart of Bangkok, close
to the night life. The hotel is very good value for money, and the
staff are polite, efficient and very helpful. This was my second vist
to the Swiss Lodge, and remains my hotel of choice in Bangkok. I will
stay there again. |

Excellent! One step to night bazzar and BTS ... so you can go anywhere
by the easiest way. |

We had two great days at Swiss Lodge. The staff was extremely friendly!
Breakfast was good as well and the Restaurant small and nice. This
was our second time in Bangkok and we would return to Swiss Lodge
anytime. |

We have just returned from Bangkok and enjoyed our stay at the Swiss
Lodge. Located in the heart of Silom, the hotel is within walking
distance of shops, restaurants, booking agencies and the Skytrain.
The friendly staff tried to accommodate our various requests. The
breakfast buffet was exceptional and well appointed. The roof-top
pool was a welcome retreat after long days of sight-seeing. The room
and the property (halls, elevator, lobby)were very clean and we appreciated
the little touches such as the welcome fruit treats. We especially
welcomed the availability of the room as we arrived in Bangkok early
in the morning on an international flight. We will book at the Swiss
Lodge again if travels lead us to Bangkok in the future. |

Excellent location, service with a smile. Good buffet breakfast and
excellent restaurant .... try out the fondue - you will not regret
it. |

Swiss Lodge, Silom Road, Soi Convent
Excellent location, very close to both Patpong night market and Sky
Train station (Silom). Exceptionally friendly, helpful, and obliging
front office staff. I took a suite at THB4,400/night - generous overall
space, but poorly designed, with NO drawer storage at all. Good size
bathroom with walk-in shower. Miniscule pool deck/area, though comfortable
and intimate. Great American/(English) breakfast, with lot s of choice
for all tastes. Fast/efficient check-out, but their limo booking is
relatively expensive (THB1,800). Overall, laid back/casual atmosphere,
very welcoming/accommodating. Definitely not five star (and to be
fair it only claims 4*), and possibly really a 3*+. On balance, I
would wholeheartedly recommend, and especially for convenience of
location, friendliness of staff, and general pleasant expeience. You
would be disappointed if you were expecting international 5*, but
again, this is not what their propostion is. Overall, highly recommended
for waht it is. |

Great location! Best Som Tom ever from stand across the street. Nice
accommodations, nice staff. Restaurant downstairs ok for breakfast,
skip it for the rest (overpriced and mediocre). Would stay there again.

The Swiss Lodge, Silom Road, Soi Convent
This boutique hotel is situated in Soi Convent, a stone s throw from
the night market and other attractions of Silom/Patpong. As such,
it makes an ideal base. The free wireless internet is a big plus.
The room was adequate but, considering I booked for two (even though
alone). it was disappointing to have only one chair and one sofa chair
in the room. Breakfast was good and the front of house staff were
excellent at all times. The biggest turn off though was the pool area,
which is small and in shade in the morning. I can see why people return
here often. It has a nice feel to it; maybe the suites etc are better
value overall, but for my money, Saladang Place is better value, has
a fantastic pool area and the rooms, although a little tired looking
in places, are well maintained with leather lounge suites etc and
the kitchen-well equipped. I would rate Swiss lodge 7/10 |
