This hotel was lovely! It is set off one of the main roads in Chiang Mai so is very central but at the same time peaceful and quiet. Everything is within walking distance - restaurants, markets etc. The rooms are beautifully decorated in traditional thai style - just fantastic! The outdoor area is well landscaped with sun loungers and a small pool. Staff are attentive and provide a good service. Internet use is free, although not very fast. Overall a wonderful stay and good value for money. Would definitely return here.

we stayed in the slightly more expensive suite room which overlooked the pool area. The room was fantastic, very botique like with great attention to detail and a lovely bathroom(and hot shower). Our room also had a lovely outside area with a long couch and Thai cushions to relax on. You get all the normal services you would expect in a better standard of hotel such as free fruit and a turn down service. The common areas are very special with running water everywhere and a great Lanna style throughout the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning. As with all more expensive places the food and drink prices were high but obviously there are many places close by where you can get good cheap thai food. The location of the hotel is very good centrally located between the Tha Phae gate and the night bizzar. As other people have commented the hotel is down a soi but not a dirty small soi, just a normal Thai soi. The only possible grumble would be the fact that there are only about 7 sun loungers by the pool, so if lots of the guests on one day decide to spend it by the pool there can be a scramble for loungers early morning. Overall we were extremely happy with this wonderful little place.

A charming hotel in the quiet back streets of Chiang Mai, and with a pool which is a welcome respite. Excellent service, great breakfast and an all round very pleasant stay. Would recommend this to anyone staying in Chinag Mai. We liked it so much that we hope to stay at the Manathai in Phuket later this year

AS there was a problem with a bathroom we were transfered to the Rimping Village hotel which was across the river. This was not quite as upmarket an hotel as the Manathai, but the rooms were well appointed, staff very friendly and helpful, good selection for breakfast.Towels were provided by the pool. A quiet hotel 10mins walk from the night market, but tuk tuk rank nearby. Ideal for the start of the Flower Parade in February on the Narawak Bridge about 8.30am where it wasn t crowded and the floats slow down for judging, therefore a good place to take photos. Only criticsm would be that you had to allow a long time for meals to arrived. Manathai looked very stylish, meal was excellant.Would be happy with either hotel another time.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The location was very good, within walking distance from main attractions. But it was the hotel itself that made the stay so memorable: the high quality of the room and the excellent service provided by the staff allowed us to enjoy your stay to the maximum!

Great environment with reasonable price. Located at very convenient location and silent enough. Staff are very nice. Good room decoration and very clean. Anyway, the swimming pool is too small. Just big enough to play water but not for swimming.
