Cascade Resort, Mae Rim
It is the most beautiful, private and personal hotel and spa in Chiang
Mai. Excellent food and brilliant service. Highly recommend it. |

Sukantara Cascade Resort, Mae Rim
We stay 3 nights at Sukantara resort and we was really deasapointed
: 1- Your hotel is at 1h by car from city center due to road condition.
You can rent a car, but price proposed by the hotel are 20% higher
than in the city. 2 - Place is great (wonderful landscape), BUT confort
is not at the level expected for the price. --) No Spa, No swiming
pool, --) Bedroom smelt bad, Outdoors bathroom is good, but not with
slug.First night : no electricity - Second Night : no hot water. --)
For the food, the menu is very short (no many choice) and the restaurant
with table not very confortable (for example,no pillow on chair, no
deckchair....). Conclusion : no value for money. It s expensive for
services and room proposed |

excellent and Management could not have more helpful and attentive
in making our stay so memorable. Definitely the perfect place for
a romatic break. |

Sukantara Cascade Resort, Mae Rim
Attractively laid out beside a cascade, with access to three jungle
walks varying in length, the shortest of which is floodlit for night
walks. The grounds are also floodlit impressively. Rooms are in separate
one-storey houses accessed up somewhat rickety stone steps - ie not
suitable for disabled - rooms are comfortable although slightly thoughtlessly
furnished ie no bedside tables, or lamps, tv can be seen from sofa,
not the bed and insufficient light to read, make-up, etc. No baths.
Shower, wc and basin en suite but outside. Cascade was quite noisy
so was the road which was immediately behind the room with early morning
- 4am traffic going to market. The family who run it are very friendly
and anxious to please, speak some English but are somewhat amateurish
- staff dressed in jeans - food simple nothern Thai but they achieved
American breakfast and, despite our initial forebodings, was clean
and good. The hotel has only been open for a few months - we felt
it had potential. |
