We had a great time, the hotel is very like a national parks type
set up, very comfortable if you compare value for money and have no
complaints what so ever and will return in the future, based on other
comments it does help if you have your own transport as the hotel
is very laid back and there is not a lot to do in the immediate area,
but once again thanks for a great stay |

As we arrived at Lompaya Pier with Vip bus from Hua Hin we found out
that there is no taxi service to Chumpong nor Cabana Beach. Only a
smiling bus driver who offered a trip back to Chumpong for 500 Bath,
the same guy who refused to stop in town. Luckily I called the hotel
20 minutes before arrival to the pier and asked for pick up. It worked
wonderfully. We had a smiling driver from Cabana coming 5 minutes
after arrival and were at Cabana 40 minutes later, 300 bath/person.
Next time we will go by train first class. It will be cheaper and
faster all together. Reception at Cabana was nice friendly and efficient
with make first impression very positive also with the nice big garden
surrounding the hotel. We got a room with nice view over garden and
the big swimming pool. The hotel was build in 1982 and according to
the standard of the room has not been renovated since then. There
was a smell of fungis and the walls and roof showed big marks of water
leakage. The shower was good and shampoo and bath gel of excellent
quality. The bed was hard and furniture run down but the garden and
swimming pool made it up. We spent 3 nights there and that was enough
for us. In 2 days we had seen and walked the beach, garden and village
. The small shop was nice and the massage was good. The restaurant
staff was very friendly but had some difficulties to get our orders
right. The menu was typical Thai and prices reasonable. The beach
was clean as was the water. |

Nice and quiet resort - no action, perfect for relaxation. Very few
people on a beautiful beach. Hotel offers good service. Try to get
a Superior Bungalow rather than a room in the normal hotel building
- it s much more up to date and in good condition. Getting to Chumphon
town is for Thai standards very expensive (THB 150 per person). Be
careful when walking along the beach, there are some sandflies which
bite. |

A nice resort. Another year we spend two days in a bungalow, this
time two nights in a room in one of the buildings. Very clean and
with a big balcony. The resort has a big swimmingpool. The beach is
very quiet and large. There are no beds to lay on on the beach. Its
a great beach to walk. The breakfast buffet is at the beach with nice
view over the see. A great place for them who son t like crowded places. |

Good value for money. We originally booked one of the bungalows but
for our second visit downgraded to a standard room in one of the blocks.
Reason for change being that the bungalows are very tired and badly
in need of some serious renovation. Also they are built on top of
one another so privacy is minimal at best. Lovely unspoilt beach,
large and interesting grounds, passable breakfast and a sizeable (if
unspiring oblong) pool all make this resort excellent value for 1,200
Baht per night. Additionally there are a good half dozen restaurants
and bars - some of them quite good - within easy walking distance. |

Hotel is run down, food is ok, reception staff is nice and helpful.
Restaurant staff is not up to standards of a hotel, not to say they
are unpolite. Ended our stay early. |
