Casuarina
Resort, Petchburi, Puk Tien Beach
Very good comfort, quiet, large beach with poor sand quality, the
whole place a bit sterile, poor garden, very poor service (we had
to look for chairs ourselves and move them to the table that lacked
chaiirs), poor restaurant / food quality, overpriced. Maybe these
were the reasons why we were only 6 guests in the resort. The pictures
in the internet are misleading. Would *not* return. |

Well we fell in love with this place straight away the villa tired
but the contrast to the mess and noise of Cha-am main hotel strip.
it was not a bother the beach was clean the pool just right. and it
was only busy at the weekend. I liked the quietness and remoteness
of this location. it was great for a few away with the kids. the restuarant
really is not geared up for farangs this is a Thai resort so having
a thai wife helped. But for al this they then distroyed our good faith
in this hotel after we left when the then phoned up to say that they
had miss calculated the room service bill. by a 1000 baht and can
we pay it straight away. My wife decided that yeah fair enough, whilst
it was not our fault looking at the bill we had not been charged for
a large meal on our final night. took the detail of the account to
payit in. and informed them that when we had the chance we deposit
the money as we were touring the country. well hotel kept phoning
up us to ask why we hadn t payed it and then if they could get us
they were phoning our drivers number!!!!! so to conclude They have
the opportunity to be a great little resort but in my opinion they
dont deserve it... |

When selecting any place to stay on the internet it's "Buyer Beware",
however the exception would be Casuarina Resort located at Puk-Tien,
Thayang, Petchburi. This boutique resort is located about 25 minutes
north of Cha-am in a quite and secluded area on Puk-Tien Beach. From
the moment you arrive you get a great feeling, you are checked-in
by the friendly and efficient staff and taken to your clean and modern
bungalow (I stayed in a Garden View). The resort's facilities, service
and food are of the highest quality. I agree with the review posted
by Daphne Yu and I too would recommend this wonderful resort to anyone
considering a relaxing holiday or just a weekend away from bustling
Bangkok. |

The Casuarina Resort was NOT as expected. There were NO facilities
for tourists, no ATM s, no taxi s, no supermarket, no sport facilities
etc. The pool area was small and no service at all. Many time we have
had problems with the air condition. Finally we have to move to a
other bungalow. This ist not a right place for foreign tourits. |

This hotel was fabulous. The layout is spacious and the sea front
is beautiful. There are no vendors on the beach and it is remote,
so it felt quiet and very pleasant. The swimming pool is great and
excellent for children as well as adults. The staff was very helpful.
A few times we made some complaints and immediately they solved any
requests we had. The food at the restaurant was very good, which was
important as there is no other places to eat around. We have been
to many placed in Thailand and this is one of our favorite. The garden
bungalows were nice. One thing could be improved is the possibility
to get a cheap or free shuttle to Cha am, as this is remote and as
there are no buses. I would without hesitation recommend this wonderful
resort. |
