We stayed at the River Kwai Botanic Garden Hotel for 2 nights. Location very nice, special to sleep in a house on the river. Room very basic, however with airconditioning so that s wonderful. Staff very friendly and helpful. It s far from the city Kanchanaburi, in the middle of the jungle. The room was not very clean, lot of dust. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay and it was very special. Good value for money. The food at the restaurant was nice.

It was all very nice. Rooms and Location good, but far from the town. For us it was no problem, because we stay for 17 days in Thailand and we relaxed for one day in this hotel. In the evening there are many mosquitos and they like to fly in the meal at the restaurant. If you stay there don t forget your Lotion against mosquitos.

The hotel was fine. A little more rustic than what we were expecting, but overall quite delightful. It was a little further out of town than what we would have liked. Made it a little more costly to get taxi service. It is a great place for group bookings. The service itself could be improved.

Nice place once you get there. It s 30 to 40 mins from the River Kwai Bridge (railway station). The map on the site makes it look a lot closer. So once you consider that you need to add 300 baht each way (after a lot of bartering) to get to the hotel it may be worth booking into a closer hotel. Apart from that the staff are great and the food is good. I must say sleeping on the river has a highlight and the facilities are good.
