AANA Resort & Spa, Klong Prao Beach
The hotel is situated in the most beautiful surroundings. At night
the lighting adds to the jungle-type setting. We stayed in a top view
villa. The small outdoor tub was cold and less useful, but the view
was great. The room itself had a really large window overlooking the
lagoon. Great view from the bed! The bathroom was OK, but the thin
door did not leave much room for privacy. The restaurant served more
than just decent meals, and the breakfast was as expected. We tried
the small gym, which is ok for average users. The private beach a
litte down the lagoon is wonderful and no crowded at all, with great
service, affordable massage and a nice restaurant and beach bar. The
staff was friendly and very helpfull. All in all we had a great stay
at ANAA. Can recommend it. |

Great service, beutiful surroundings with lovely flowers, trees and
bushes. Clean pool with easy access and not too many people. The breakfast
was very nice and there was nothing missing. The beach was kept in
good condition and we had no problems in getting there with the boats
from the hotel. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished in soft
colours. The only thing we were not inpressed with was the food in
the restaurant, it was boring with no surprises, we think it was a
mistake to try to make it european. I can strongly recommend AANA. |

We liked the stay at AANA Resort & Spa at Koh Chang very much. A very
good stay for honeymoners like us. Service at Reception and Restaurant
very well. Also the free boat transport to the beach and Firefly is
very nice. Advice: rent a motorcycle to be able to visit villages
nearby. |

AANA Resort & Spa, Klong Prao Beach
We stayed in this Resort in february 2007. The staff is friendly but
not always fully-professional (When we arrived, we must wait 1 hour
to receive our room (booked 2 months before)until noon, and another
1.30 hours for our luggages (after a call to the reception). The breakfast
is basic with poor food selection and, inexcusably, reconsituted fruit
juices. Although barely 2 years old, the buildings are already showing
wear and tear: few of our doors, windows and the wardrobe fit properly.
The water in the jacuzzi was so cold that you cannot stay more then
2 or 3 minutes inside. The price we paid (US$225 per night for a Top
View Villa) is higher than they ought to be. The reality is not what
they show in the web side, we won t be returning to AANA in a hurry.

We spent 6 days in this beautiful resort.Rooms are nice, pool small
but o.k.The breakfast could be better,e.g. fresh orange juice or european
cheese would be nice.Staff always very friendly and helpful, just problems
with the sometimes poor english language.Often no towels at the pool
or at the beach and you have to arrange by yourself.Overall a bit
to expensive in compariosn the the service/value offered. Will go back
somewhen for sure |

AANA Resort & Spa, Klong Prao Beach
I stayed 8 nights at the AANA Resort in late-December, 2006 and I
wish I could give it an unqualified recommendation because it has
a great deal going for it. Its location on the quiet banks of the
Klong Prao inlet is picture perfect, affording some genuinely stunning
views; it has lovely landscaped gardens; and is peopled with many
friendly, if not always fully-professional, staff. But the AANA Resort
has problems...*many* problems. The beach, accessible by a short 5
minute boat ride, is sadly ordinary. Many of the advertised facilities
are non-existent: even though we were there during peak season over
Xmas and the hotel was full, the hilltop bar and beach bar were permanently
closed, and there is absolutely no internet connection and, even more
bizarrely, no telephone connection from any of the rooms. Catering
at breakfasts is basic with poor food selection and, inexcusably,
reconsituted fruit juices and instant coffee. Although barely 2 years
old, the buildings are already showing wear and tear: few of our doors
and windows fit properly, the toilet leaked, the wardrobe handle was
broken, and, to top it off, our TV had barely watchable reception.
Despite requests to the front desk, none of these problems were fully
rectified during our stay. The management feigned concern but had
that glassed-eye look that said yes, we ve heard these complaints
a thousand times and have absolutely no intention of doing anything
about them. All of which would be fine if the Resort were a budget
affair but we were paying top dollar: US$225 per night for a Top View
Villa. Ultimately for us, it was death by a thousand cuts and, while
we enjoyed much of our stay there, we won t be returning to AANA in
a hurry. |

everything was brilliant, but the service, the cost for the transfert
from airport to the resort and the check-out-treatment was not as
nice as we thought of an hotel like in this category. |

Give the new Swiss management some month to fix the problems of this
otherwise good structure. The price actually paid is to high for the
service received. Advertised things do not work or are inexistent.
(no WIFI and even no outside phoneline from the room - flooded beach
without any F&B facility). Good housekeping but extremely bad service
at the Cinnamon restaurant (new Indian F&B manager). They serve some
cheap concentrate as orange juice and will NOT accomodate a request
for a fresh one even if a guest is willing to pay for it. Staff speaking
generally VERY poor English even by Thai standards. This hotel has
a huge potential but the present owners must be very narrow minded
people - I was charged THB 150 for a broken tap of a shampoo bottle
(they easily slip - so beware). This charge is the most ridicolous
thing that ever happened to me in a hotel:-(! (I left THB 40 000 there
in 5 days) My advice: No go for the next 6 month - then give it a
try. I may not as they really disappointed me. |

AANA Resort & Spa, Klong Prao Beach
Outstanding resort. The staff are excellent with babies. The location
on the river provided for wonderful views, especially of the fishermen
s houses across the river. The beach is far better than the Whitesand
Beach, which is overly developed. The dinners at the restaurant were
excellent for European taste and the pricing was fair. The pricing
of the rooms is curious, with large differentials in the pricES of
different classes of rooms even though the differences in space/amenities
are not that large. This means that the best value for money, at least
when we were there (low season), was for the third class rooms (termed
deluxe I think). The absence of wireless or broadband access was regettable
and surprising in a resort of this class. |
