Very lovely hotel. Nice and friedly staf. The only ting that we can
complain about is that the freebus to White Sand beach had so few
departures. |

The hotel had all we needed to relax. Clean, friendly staff (some
not too good at english),excellent bungalow with connected rooms close
to the restaurant. Great pool. Occasionally there was a sewer smell
due to the environmentally friendly system. No big waves for the kids
to play in since the hotel was situated in a lagoon. Secluded, but
possible to 15 mins with a taxi to shopping and other eating places.
Close to the ferry. |

The resort was excellent. It is in a quiet and more secluded location.
The livelier beach areas are not far away and easily accessible. There
is no beach to speak of at Aiyapura, but just use one of their kayaks
to cross a narrow body of water and there is a good beach for hunting
for shells. The pool is uniformly shallow, nice for children. |

We had booked a Delux room but was upgraded to a Oriental villa. This
was really superb, spacy and very nice with a luxury feeling. Bathroom
was huge and had a seaview, shower nice with hot water and good pressure,
bath tub both outdoor and indoor. Nice TV and DVD, lots of channels.
Nice veranda with comforatble chairs. However, note that not all villas,
noor rooms have a seaview. The resort is very well kept, a family
of peacocks are walking around the resort and are pretty tame, can
be hand fed. Poolarea is nice, you can order food and beverages from
the poolbar. The location of the resort is also very nice, secluded
within a large bay. The beach is perhaps the only down side, it doesn
t match all other qualities, however, you can borrow a canoe and paddle
50 m across a small strait and there is a nice beach, but it is very
shallow for very long. Breakfast is extensive, with a wide range of
bread, fruit, hot and cold dishes... fresh juice. Breakfast is at
the beach, either indoor with a/c or outdoor under a canvas roof,
the view is GREAT! Gym was small but with brand new machines, and
the room had a/c. Restaurant is pricy, and often pretty deserted,
meals are very good though. Resort is 10-15 minutes away from white
sand beach, road is pretty steep and narrow at times. Taxis did charged
300 baht one way, and it was very hard to bargain for a lower price.
300 baht is way to much for that short trip. The resort have motorbikes
to rent, 200 baht per day. I highly recommend this resort!! |

My two friends and I just returned from 5 nights at the Aiyapura Resort
and Spa and, without a doubt, this was one of the best resort/spa
facility we have ever stayed at. Our room was spectacular with a lovely
view of the bay. What sunsets!! Two restaurants on the site served
exceptional Thai and international fare; and the spa facility was
breathtaking! The staff was friendly, helpful and so pleasant. We
will be back next year. What a find! Alice Waldie, Jude Dube, Andrea

Lovely place to stay, kind staff. Not much beach, but very private
and romantic... and a short ride to white beach. I will stay here
again |
