I would not recommend this hotel. The grounds are nice, but not worth
the price. The rooms are OK, but again not worth the price. The staff
were horribly inattentive. The bathroom was dirty, and the hot water
didn t work for the first three days of my stay, despite my complaints
to the front desk. I asked to speak to a manager who never got back
to me. Overall I would not stay here again or recommend anyone stay
here. |

A nice , quite place. But the security is not good. Three bungalows
missed after one evening mobilephones, a watch and money. If you stay
there, please use the safes at the front desk. |

Nice location right at the beach. Very nice architecture, style of
the bungalows. The hotel had a just opened spa with excellent massage!
Service was friendly but with lots of misunderstandings due to the
poor command of english among the personell. Nice pool with a wonderful
view of the sea and the mountains! Two problems though: the resturant
was expensive and not very good. The beach was not as nice as we had
hoped for. Not crystal clear water and with lots of stones and pebbles,
not as soft as we would have liked. |

Accomodation: Very nice rooms that have good facilities and very clean.
Beach and pool area is great. Really made the effort with the pool
area and surrounding gardens. Restaurant and reception areas are in
need of fans. Free internet access would be nice. Accomodation at
half the price offers free internet. Food: Breakfast was just acceptable.
Some problems need sorting (eg: ants and mosquitos in jam, running
out of food and cutlery when faced with 10 or more guests in restaurant).
We had one lunch and one evening meal in the restaurant. Both meals
were by the far the worst we had on the island. The wrong meals arrived,
they were poor quality and very expensive. Service was shocking. I
would advise people to stay there but not eat in the restaurant. My
advice for eating is O2 restaurant at Khai Bae, 15 Palms at White
Sand and the Italian at White Sand. Grab a moped for 150 baht per
day and try the places on the beach at White Sand. |

The Barali Beach Resort is ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday. We
stayed in a Deluxe villa which was very clean and well furnished,
with a good sized balcony and a beautiful bathroom. The pool area
and gardens were well maintained and there were always enough sunbeds
by the pool or on the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful
although their English was sometimes limited. The hotel restaurant
was okay and was reasonably priced but there are many other alternatives
a short walk along the beach or on the main road (500m). The other
resorts are only a short ride away if you wish to experience more
lively nightlife. There was no evidence of any building work going
on while we were there. |

We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Deluxe bungalows excellent,
very tastefully decorated with teak furniture, including a 4 poster
bed with mosquito net and an unusual sunken bath/shower area. There
is a beautiful white and sandy beach very close to the hotel. Food
at the hotel was good but service sometimes painfully slow and hard
work at times getting a drink. However, there are several other good
restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Hotel staff and
everyone in the village were very friendly and eager to please the
tourists. There is some construction work going on in the lobby area
but this didn't interfere with us at all. I would definitely recommend
this hotel for a quiet holiday. |

The Barali Beach Resort is a nice place with some contructions going
on. These were however not disturbing at the time I was there. At
arrival in Sept 2005 It was hard to find the lobby for check in because
it was not existing. They are just building a new lobby and placed
the check in in one of the bungalows. The very friendly staff welcomed
us with a drink but they didn t know about the specials which they
offered in sawadee.com (Free upgrade, free transport to pier). After
some argue we were (free) upgraded to the Ocean Deluxe Villa with
private safe. The bugalows are generally build to close to eachother.
They were in good condition and clean. I missed I table and two chairs
IN the bungalow. You could sit a little unconfortable outside on the
veranda on wood-chairs, but when it starts raining the roof is not
covering the veranda. We moved the wood chairs inside. The bathroom
was ok. The double bed was fantastic. Food in the Hotel-Restaurant
was good. The service was always friendly. The pool was just like
in the internet. When there will be more guest it will be however
be too small. White Sands Beach is NOT in walking distance but there
is some open air cooking and drinking around. I wouldn t call them
restaurants. We wanted to go swimming in the ocean but the sand under
your feet reaches not very far and gets rocky. My girlfried Sue was
loving the various beautiful flowers and plants around the bungalows.
There were only a few guests when I was there and it was quiet - just
what I was looking for. If you want really first class or action you
should go somewhere else. This is what I call 1B class. All in all
I must say that this resort was worth the 2400 THB but only with free
upgrade to Ocean deluxe Villa. Disturbing was the dense building structure
of bungalows and the small wet veranda. |

excellent stay here , the staff were really nice and helpful, the
rooms themselves were beautiful and the whole place was great cant
speak highly enough, its in a nice quiet location as well. The breakfasts
arnt great but its exactly the same as any resort or hotel american
breakfast you are going to get in thailand and i find them all a bit
dodgy anyway. This resort is great , highly recommended ! |

Hotel room was exactly as pictured on the website. The room was very
relaxing and quite comfortable. Loved the outdoor shower. Pool and
beach were awesome! Staff at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating.
One example of this was the transfer from the hotel to the Trat airport.
Since we left early(before breakfast)the staff had a boxed breakfast
prepared for us...this was very nice and quite unexpected. Staff at
the restaurant/pool area were OK. Breakfast buffet was good but not
extensive. This is a great place for a getaway! |
