Front Desk is not really efficient in serve customers, we wait & they
check all details, some details should not be check e.g. number of
children & age, some horner information have to be respect to customer.
Golf carts are not available i.e. out of battery...all occupied...late
service to the room... |

This hotel is not on the beach despite what you think from the wbsite
and in fact it s quite a long way from the beach. It does however
have a shuttle bus every hour until 6:00 pm to a nice beach at a much
better hotel but even there you cannot use all the facilities. The
grounds are well maintained and lush but the flies when we were there
are worse than the Australian outback. The restaurant serves good
food at affordable prices but the included breakfast has limited options
and is uninspiring. There is a delightful spa and gym but the prices
discourage useage and even the hotel staff direct people to the much
cheaper massage options pool side. Hotel staff are generally helpful
and pleasant but not up to the usual high standards of Thailand. In
our view there are better options and value elsewhere on this beautiful
island. |

This is a hotel we can recommend. The personal was very friendly and
helpful. Good service. The hotel was a bit far away from shops, resturants
but to us it didn?t matter. Nice family hotel our kids loved it.Fam

We stayed with some friends at the Ramayana resort for four days over
new year. The hotel was very nicely decorated, with fancy rooms, nice
verandas overlooking either the garden or the pool area. The bathrooms
was more picturesque than fancy, which would be my only complaint
when it comes to the rooms and hotel area. However, the hotels has
a major disadvantage as there is no beach and the only way to conveniently
get to the beach is to either rent a motorbike or to go by the free
shuttle bus. The private beach is at their sister hotel s beach, and
there is no chance of getting a sunbed there (if you are not up at
dawn) but you do get free towels and the beach is free...The breakfast
was good and we had no problem with the service, we rented a motorbike
without any problems. However our friends did run into some severe
problems with the staff when their motorbike got a flat tire the first
day, this happened again the other day as the staff didn t fix the
problem properly and due to the delays with the reparations and pick
up they missed a lot of our planned activities. At New Years Eve there
was a compulsory gala dinner which turned out to be a heavily overpriced
mediocre buffe'/bbq with no drinks at all included (the dinner was
charged at 2000 baht per person). The show which was included in the
gala dinner was awful with false notes and songs, drag queens and
strange dance shows - all this blasted out at a deafening volume which
made it almost impossible to have a normal discussion during the complete
dinner (we mentioned this to the staff but got no response). So, we
left early and got in to white sands at met up some other friends.
Thanks to the company we had a nice night but I can t say that the
dinner or the show had anything to do with this. All this said, the
hotel was nice if you don t have a problem with the no-beach-thing.
The gala dinner I would recommend skipping and instead having a good
dinner with wine included at another restaurant for the same price.
It s a pity you didn t have the option not to pay for the gala dinner
though. I would not return to this hotel if I was to go back to Koh
Chang, but this is mostly because of the off beach location and the
far distance to white sand or the other beaches. |

The hotel is super.I was very pleasant surprised from the kindness
and the respect of the stuff. They were all very kind and helpfull. The
pool and the garden are very very beautidul. There was a suttle bus
to the beach. It was very amasing with a wonderfull sunset view. The
room was very nice and clean. The bathromm was a little bit small and
tight and there was only a shower. The reastaurant and the breakfast
were also very good. And the island was the paradise itself such a
beatiful place. The hotel is a little bit far from the center but we
rented a motor bike from the hotel and were able to see every piece
from the island.I would like to use the services of this hotel again. |

Beautiful resort with attentive staff, but far from the beach and
town and the shuttel bus only leaves 1 time in the evening! And no
taxi service in the hotel. You can?t walk to any place nearby to eat
or shop. The hotel beach was not good at all when we visited(june).
Nice restaurant and good breakfast. If you like to stay at the hotel
and pool, this is a good hotel but if you would like to get around
I would choose another hotel. |

this was my second stay here and absolutly my last. the first stay
was in dec.04, it was just opened and they need the farangs very much
because they dont had so much local poeple to pay the rates. the second
time i was in may 05. i was feeling like a alien between all this
thai tourists and also trieted like that. had to wait 30 min. for
my room in the heat, the privat beach was durty the staff there was
not very helpful, only to the local tourist they took care. my opinion
is if this resort need the farang at a time that the rates are to
high for the local, then they are welcome. if you visit the resort
at low season, where the thai can pay the rates, the farangs are not
very welcome. i booked for 7 nights and stayed 2 nights. i couldnt
stay longer there because like i sad before, i feld like a alien and
was also wachted like that. |
