Baan
Talay Guest House, Haad Rin
I will admit I didn t have high expectations for this place but when
I arrived I was pleasently surprised. The room was clean, the shower
had plenty hot water, the A/C worked well, and the staff was very
friendly. The location was great too as it is right in the middle
of the town and could walk to anywhere in just a few minutes. I originally
booked for only 6 nights with the intentions of transferring to a
nicer hotel but decided to stay an extra 4 nights because the price
was right and I was content there. I had one complaint.. this place
was very noisy. Due to the location on a busy intersection you had
to deal with loud mortorbike and car noise during the day then music
from the Bar across the street until late and then a very annoying
rooster that wouldn t quit in the morning. This is something to be
expected though so it didn t bother me but ear plugs are a must! I
would stay here again. |

I had a very nice stay at Baan Talay Guest House. It?s near both beach
and shops - it is clean and well maintained. The staff is helpfull.
I recomend it for the price. |

nice place, in the mddle of the action, clean and right in the middle
of haad rin, if anyone says something bad then they are kinda stupid,
it s a simple place, no frills, but easy to get home from sunrise
beach and between all the restaurant without all the noise! i would
stay here again! |

While the Baan Talay Guest Houses is centrally located in Haad Rin,
the accomadations and staff are terrible. The amentities and photos
are deceiving, and the rooms are horrible. Upon checking into the
hotel, I paid the manager of the hotel the balance that I owed in
cash before I had a chance to inspect the room. I immediately asked
for a refund when I saw my room, and I was even willing to forego
my 50% deposit; however, the manager of the hotel refused to refund
the money that I had given here minutes earlier. I would strongly
advise anyone who is thinking of staying here, NOT to do so. |

Great location- near the action but none of the noise. Rooms perhaps
a little grubby but not a detarction really. I had a fan room which
was just as good as aircon at night. No fridge made it hard to have
beers or water cold in your room but otherwise I would consider staying
there again. |

Do not stay here!!!! My room was broken into, along with everyone
else on the back side of the hotel. There was no forced entry on any
room (ie they had a key) and the door was relocked. They also tried
to change the room I had booked online to a very sh#thy one (did this
to everyone who was checking in) then tried to charge more for the
room I already paid for! The water was brown, smelt bad, roof leaked,
and you can find cheaper places to stay on the beach. |

bathroom smelt horrible, no lounge area as stated, our requested quiet
room was situated opposite a disco bar where the music played til
3am. only stayed 2 out of 3 nights due to this and were refused a
refund. other rooms round the back do not have these problems we were
told. |
