What a nice surprise! Pictures do not do the view justice for this
hotel. We checked in for our stay during the full moon party and we
were close enough to the action with a quick ride to town. The hotel
provided a shuttle for 50 baht/person, which is a great deal compared
to cabs in town. Geckos and exotic bugs all remain outside of the
rooms, just make sure to close your windows at dusk. The staff was
super friendly and very accomodating. Although the beach in front
of the hotel is not worth going to, the infinity pool is overlooking
the coastline with Ko Samui as your view. For beaches on Ko Phangan
your best best is to go to Haad Rin and hire a longtail to take you
to your own private beach. We will definitely be coming back to this
resort during our next holiday, romantic and fun with nice travlers
all around the island to meet. |

Great view. Good sized clean room. Good breakfast and very friendly
and helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The only down side
was that it was a 20 minute walk along the beach to get to Haad Rin
and a taxi ride back at night. Recommended |

The resort was clean, modern & simple. Compared to other accommodation
in the area it is one of the better options. We stayed in a seaview
villa and the sunset was spectacular! Definitely a highlight of the
trip The food is ok at best and the choice is limited. The other downside
is that it's a little hard to access the town. We walked in to Haad
Rin via the beach (approx. 20 mins) but had trouble in parts due to
the high tide. There is a driver at the resort but he was always out
when we needed a lift. Generally speaking we weren't that impressed
with Koh Phangan after staying in luxury on Koh Samui but it depends
on what sort of holiday you are after. If you're heart is set on Haad
Rin, this is a good option if you want to be away from the action.
We were not here during a full moon party. And it was very quiet.

I dont recommend this place at all.Forget the pictures on sawadee
they are at least 15 years old and there is not a internet cafe as
the info says about the hotel. The hotelrooms are dirty and the cleaning
is really bad.The breakfast is no good and there wore no buffet. And
the all the steps.....ugh... |

the service was average. We found the management rude and incoperative!!
The hotel was advertised to have hot water which in kohpanghan is
very expensive which ads to the accomodation costs. After two days
of cold water we went to the management and complained. They comented
that the rooms are always checked before arrival of new guests so
that they are up to standard. However in our situation we found that
this was not the case. There was no compensation or apology for this.
In conclusion the staff were friendly but the resort manager was rude
unwelcoming and not negotiotable with any of the problems we encounterd... |

Amazing views and friendly service. Stayed in a Villa which was lovely,
however tended to be very hard to keep cool, even with the air conditioner
running at full blast. Nonetheless, the rooms were comfortable. English
speaking television channels very limited. Be careful not to leave
your run out of Hat Rin Nai township back to Hotel too late as Tuk
Tuk and Taxi service few and far between at 10pm. Recommend walk along
the beach from town to resort in daylight hours only as tidal influenced.
Would definitely return to stay at Blue Hill Resort. |

Great owners, very nice people. Stunning view of Koh Samui when both
inside the hotel room and in the pool. The pool is great at night
in particular for views of Koh Samui. The food in room service is
excellent and very well priced. The room itself is basic but clean.
The bed was very comfortable though the pillows were too big. There
is also a very limited selection of english speaking tv channels with
only two, one of which is real madrid tv (24 hour soccer). Location
is good but you probably need to get a scooter like we did to get
into town. The hotel does provide a shuttle but it is 50 baht per
person per trip which adds up. Koh Phangnan is very hilly so be careful
if you do get a scooter, we ended up destroying one of the wheels
on the bike but the staff luckily knew someone who had it fixed at
a fraction of the price of what the bike rental would have charged.
Thanks guys, we owe you for that! |

Blue hill was defintely awesome.. everyone was great, the service
is great and definetly a friendly enviroment.. we got one of the hotel
rooms, the room was modern, clean with an awesome view of the ocean.
the only problem for me was the ant attack in the hotel room and the
321434 steps to the beach and pool.. but over all i loved it, and
i would highly recommanded for ppl looking for a more excluted place
to stay, but still quite close to had rinn! |

This resort is significantly more upmarket than most of the bungalow
arrangements in Koh Phangan. We had a Sea View Villa, the room was
very nice - sort of post-industrial minimalism, but very comfortable.
Very efficient air conditioning, mini-bar, excellent shower etc. The
swimming pool is great, an infinity pool , wonderfully relaxing. The
view from the villas, and hotel block, were simply stunning and well
worth the money. The resort is about 5 mins by moto from central Had
Rin, the staff are more than happy to give you a lift into town at
night and you can get a songthaew back. By day the walk along the
beach is nice. Yes, there are steps at this resort, it s built on
a hill and unfortunately steps are inevitable whenever hills are involved
(it s the hill which gives you the views). Yes, there were some ants,
this is Thailand and the resort is surrounded by woods - so yes, there
were some ants and geckos. Insects etc are an inevitable part of the
tropics, but all minor incoveniances can be avoided by staying at
home. However, I d recommend the views from Blue Hills anyday over
my living room ! |
