Star Resort, Ban Tai Beach
Nice little place for a nice bungalow view. We only spent 24 hours
here because we needed to move on, but would certainly stay here again.
For a stay here I would recommend something better then the standard
bungalow. No TV, but the view compensates for it, and the pool is
very nice. Nice staff and ok food. |

Stayed there for 3 nights in March, nice room close to the beach,
staff are very good and friendly. Nice pool near the beach, the beach
itself in front of the hotel is clean but a bit dirty up to the right
of it. Nice when the tide goes out as there are some lovely sand banks
to go and sit abouts 100 yards out. I would stay there again if in
that area. |

Very nice staff and very nice pool. In the middle of nowhere, and
very very quite. Great resort for relax by the pool or sea. Walk long
walks on the beach, have some romantic nights. Sunset fantastic!!.
Nice thai and western food. Only one towel pr pers. You have to ask
for get new. We had de-luxe bungalow with 2 queensize beds! (fits
for family of 4) Very nice beds. Batheroom nice, but slow water. Hot
water fine. One the best resorts on Koh Phangan. Tip: Bring flashlight.
You will find 7-11 and some other small shops 500 meter away, and
a small italian restaurant. Also have a small halal-restaurant close.
Stay there - enjoy romance! |

A lovely beachside bungalow resort. In a quieter location away from
the madness of Haad Rin. Bungalows kept clean as was all areas for
guests use. The food was freshly prepared and ample. If I had to critisize
it would be that things kept going wrong in our particular bungalow.
However the problems were solved as soon as we told the owners. I
would definitley consider staying at Morning Star again. |

Very nice resort. Clean room, good food, nice personnel and a nice
pool. It was low water at the time so a pool was necassary. |

My three children aged, 4, 7, and 11 years old enjoyed our 8 day stay
at Morning Star. The owner, and the crew - especially Tom made our
stay great. Bungalow, pool and garden is fabulous and so is the wonderful
food at very good price. The place is quiet and secluded and beach
is not the best on the island - but i really encorage you to stay
at this wonderful place, with a wonderful staff!! |

We found the morning star to be brilliant. Had three nights there
and would of loved to stay another night or two. It was so relaxing
and peaceful. The bungaloxs where great and very private. The pool
was beautiful and the restaurant was really good. All staff where
excellent and i would have no problems recommending a stay at the
morning star!! Also the pictures they advertise don t do it justice!
Only downfall was that the bathroom was a bit smelly, we think it
was due to a blocked drain. These never took away from our stay!! |

Hotel is essentially OK but the location is very remote. If you do
stay here do not pay the extra for a superior room as literally all
you get extra for 500 bht a night is an additional single bed which
we did not require! Big waste of money. The deluxe chalets looked
really nice and very nice and new but they were much more expensive.
The standard chalets were small but clean. The beach was a dissapointment
- not the golden clean sand you d expect and when the tide is out
you have to walk 15 minutes out to sea over lots of hungry crabs!
The pool area was great, however and we enjoyed lazing around it for
a few days and we did find it very relaxing. On the whole I wouldn
t return to Koh Phangan and would much prefer to spend a few days
extra on Samui or Ko Tao. Unless you go on full moon there really
isn t anything worth seeing or doing! |

Beautiful - rooms fairly basic but location great. Very relaxing and
the pool was great too, but the best part was the restaurant - awesome
food! Would go back! |
