Ao Nang Sunset Hotel, Ao Nang
This hotel suited us perfectly. We booked 2 adjoining rooms and a
third double room. The double room that was not connected was massive.
The biggest room we had anywhere on our stay. The adjoining rooms
were small by comparison but having said that were actually normal
sized hotel rooms, was just that the other rooms was very big. They
all had their own private balcony - also good - need somewhere to
hand the wet togs. We were not on the pool side of the hotel. Those
rooms woulod have a nice view over the bay - but ours were fine. Do
not stay here for the pool, very small - not a good outlook and the
chlorine was full on. The breakfast content was as you find in Thailand
- however was full buffett so you could eat as much as you liked.
The bees that other people mention were not an issue - I liked seeing
them, and they stayed pretty much near the bar - except the few that
made their way into the jam!!! Good spot - really close to the front
strip as would everything be in AoNang. Not noisy - no one hassles
you outside of the place. The front desk arranged forward travel for
us. All was good. I would say this place is more than basic, met our
needs nicely -not one problem. email me at Stevensbrett@optusnet.com.au
if you want anythign else!!! Brett

Big clean rooms and to a good price. The pool area wasn?t very nice
and try to get a room with poolview or you might get a wall as a view
from your room!!!

Very nice and quiet place. Small swimmingpool but cozy with a lot
of palmtrees. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Big room
and a nice balcony to sit on. Close to everything. The only thing
bad is that the staff sit with the guestcomputer surfing on sites
with guns ect ect. And when the guest is coming for using they sit
1-2 minutes to finish wath they doing. I will stay there again if
i go to Ao Nang again

Good Breakfast was ok. You could borrow towels and books. Great tours
with superb beaches and snorkeling. Good location, near to the boats
to Railey and close to shopping. Bad The room smelled of mold. The
view was not so hot and consisting by an electric pole and a restaurant
backyard. Useless pool area. Watch out for the Indian guy outside
Peter s Collection.

Ao Nang Sunset Hotel, Ao Nang
Worst hotel ever stayed at. Booked a room high up, get one at ground
floor. The outlook was a wall one meter away. The sun never reach
the room so it stink mouldy. The neighbour was a discotheque with
loud music to 3 at night. Deep bas sounds. Ask for a nother room.
Said the were all book, though I could see room free. After complained
again I got a room 4th floor, away from the disco, which was some
better, but instead there was a very noising aircondition right outside
the balcony. The pool ( 8 meter) had 5 chairs which was enough, as
there was a very noisy machine going at the pool so no one stayed
there more than for a fast swimming. If you like noise this is the
place for you. Breakfast very basic. Fruit was bananas only for most
of the time. Only toast bread. You must often ask for plates to be
fill up again. Half of the staff friendly. The other half never smiled.
There are hundreds of hotels in the area, take one of them, it can
only be better.

Good location, big-sized rooms, clean and comfortable. Liked the private
balcony and the strong aircon and fan in the room. Staff unsmiling
throughout, compared to the service staff in koh samui and phuket.
People in krabi outskirts friendly and helpful. Rented a car and got
lost a couple of times. Managed to make a couple of friends.

Ao Nang Sunset Hotel, Ao Nang
I had a pleasant 3-night stay at Ao Nang Sunset Hotel. The hotel location
is perfect, just in the midst of the the town, with shops and restaurants
all nearby, and the beach only 5 minutes away. The hotel staff were
very friendly and professional. The room was spacious and clean. The
down points were breakfast which offered little variety, the shower
curtains are posted too high, causing the bottom to be too short,
and, my sea view room had a small glance at the sea across other rooftops.
All said, I recommend this hotel for location and value for money
and great staff.
