Diamond Private Resort, Krabi, Ao Nang, Railay Bay East
Initially we booked the Diamond Private Resorts s Mountain View cottage.
Unfortunately they are situated in between two diesel generators and
is therefore very noisy (not my idea of a relaxing holiday) so after
one night we moved to one of the Sea View Bungalows. Almost no noise
from the generators but quite supstantial from the bars (live bands
and DJ s)further down the mountain. Their should have been a great
restaurant within the resort but when we aksed if we could have dinner
we were told to look outside for a restaurant (still don t know the
reason, when you pay High-Season prices you d expect High Season service
as well).... Good for us was that this was already the 5th time we
visited Railay so we knew our way around... After all this not so
positive feedback i have to admit that the view from the villas was
stunning, the best we had so far. |

This is the worst resort I have stayed at in my life. The pictures
shown on this website are so misleading. There is mould everywhere,
the pool is filthy, cockroaches in the rooms and so much more wrong.
I booked for two nights but left after one with bad memories of Raileigh. |

During the time we travelled around Thailand for 3 weeks I can honestly
say it was one of the worse ones we stayed at. The service was shocking
the staff where very put out when we asked them for anything. The
gardeners spent most of the day sitting around not doing anything.
The rest of the staff watched DVDS and did not like to be interupted
by guests when watching the DVDs. The room was not cleaned by the
cleaning service and when we asked why the room had not been cleaned
they seemed put out again. Do not go for the rooms at the back of
the resort they are next to a noisy generator and a garbage dump.
The walk up the back to the bungalows is quite steep so be prepared. |
