Gooddays
Lanta Chalet & Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach
We had 2 older, basic A/C bungalows (new ones were not available),
good value for the money we paid. The gardens and surroundings were
well kept. The island itself is still rather quiet, off the main tourist
tracks, which was what we were looking for. We had some minor problems
with the staff since most of them spoke very little English. Lots
of Swedish people here as well as on the island in general (they have
2 schools here!) |

Gooddays lanta is located on the southern end of prae beach.To access
the beach you have to wade across a deep ditch.At low tide there were
a lot of rocks wich made it difficult to go swimming. Poolarea was
good, a favourite place for our children.Most of the staff was very
friendly and the food was good.We stayed in the beach house, wich
was in very poor condition.Terrible smell from mold and problem with
insects inhabiting the house.but the newbuildt bungalows look real
nice.If we go back to Prae beach we would probably book the neighbouring
resort, Casuarina.Bungalows looked very nice as did the beach there. |

Have stayed here before so new what to expect altho our beach view
has now been lost to further units being built. As last time we think
that the garden needs a lot of work pool nice and staff good particularly
Montri who organised our transfers |

A very nice and clean resort by the beautiful Long Beach. We will
go back there again next time. |

Nice, quiet,clean, good and friendly staff, nothing seemed to be impossible
to fix if we needed anything. A bit difficult with the canal to the
sea which was not so easy to pass when it had rained for some days.
Food was good, breakfast service could have been better, many guests
had breakfast at about same time every morning and still we had to
wait for bread, milk, egg, bacon etc but who is in a hurry on holiday?
Laundry service cheap and good. Internet a bit slow but available.
MC rental was good. Pick-up service from Krabi airport was also good
and to the boat from Saladan. Nice with some Swedish books to borrow
and read. We didn t expect rain! We had a good stay, despite the weather!
