Relax
Bay Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach
The resort is located on a very nice and quiet beach, which I found
is the most beautiful beach in the northern part of koh lanta (the
beaches in the south are great too, but a bit far off if you want
to do more than just relax). The resort is beautiful and cosy, very
friendly staff. They offer motorbike rental, massage (what a pleasure!)
and some daytrips, that are slightly more expensive compared to the
price you pay if you book the same tour in Ban Saladan. There?s a
diving school that arranges wonderful diving and snorkelling trips
(try the one to koh rok, it?s amazing). The food is delicious although
the prices are in the higher(thai)range. Breakfast is overpriced,
but next to the resort is a smaller restaurant and bar where one can
go for a change. I would recommend this resort to anybody if there
wasn?t this problem with the bed bugs. When we told the staff they
didn?t seem very surprised.... they didn?t put much effort other than
applying some insect spray which was absolutely useless. It was quite
annoying considering the uncountable stings the disgust and the fact
that bed bugs can function as carriers of a desease. Hopefully they
will get this problem under control, it would be too bad about this
lovely resort. |

Relax Bay Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach
Really nice and calm place. Excellent with a friendly dive center
on the beach. Unfortunately, lot of rocks in the water which made
it difficult to walk into the water, otherwise a beautiful beach.

Great hotel, wonderful beach and food. A bit out of Saladan but resort
offers free taxi ride into town 3x per day |

Relax Bay Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach
It has its own private beach (kind of) but lots of rocks are littered
around the shore which may be potentially hazardous for residents,
especially children. The staff are friendly and the resort is absolutely
relax. There is little to do there and I recommend a novel or some
self-amusement if necessary. All in all, a pretty good experience,
especially with the friendy staff. A point worth noting though, the
water running from the taps and showers are not exactly clean. Apparently,
the pipes are rusty and the water you will receive will be brownish
and very rusty-smelling and tasting. I would recommend you buy your
own water for washing and drinking definitely. If you need any feedback
regarding the hotel, feel free to contact me at tiong.jinrong@gmail.com. |

Relax Bay Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach
We stayed there the first time - caused by an recommendation. The
service was fine, especially the staff very friendly. The Managerin
Ce'cile is always present to satisfy all wishes of the guests, the
right place to relax. If you like to go your own way it is necessary
to rent a motorbike or a car, because the resort is a little bit outside.
Maybe a disadvantage - but that s up to your personel attitude. On
the other hand that kind of loneliness with the beach is quit beautifull.
Don?t forget to relax! |

Absolutely beautiful location with great rooms right on the beach
front. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly without exception,
making for a perfect stay. The beach bar is a fantastic place to watch
the sun go down every evening - daiquiris to die for! Highly recommended
and the resident puppies are very cute. |
