SriLanta,
Koh Lanta Yai, Klong Nin Beach
Excellent location. Rooms were as described, as expected: natural
surrounding, one with nature, respectful of environment, etc. No disappointments
there. Don t fall for the extras: although it has a great view, the
high path is rather far from the beach and unless you plan on taking
a bath on your balcony, it is utterly useless to spend the cash on
it. As for the veranda, it is nice and closer to the beach (the west
wing), but I never used the chairs on it, as I preferred to go directly
on the beach (which is across the narrow main road; don t let that
bother you by the way, it has its charm believe me!). The hotel is
very quiet, and sleep was peaceful (I was in room 313, a very good
choice). Beautiful pool, awesome beach at high tide, scenic at low
tide because of some rocks. The hide tide hides them all and did not
affect my swimming. The restaurant is expensive and nothing special.
Go next door to Miami, or Cook-kai further down the road, or Otto
further down the beach. Everything is North of you, as Sri Lanta is
the last resort on that strip of beach, which I found convenient for
my needs (I needed privacy!). So... the food is expensive, and so
are the massages! 1400 Baht, when 300 Baht everywhere else on the
beach. No regrets on this pick, expect plan to have massages, lunches
and dinners somewhere else. Worth it!!! |

Not at all like the pictures you see on their homepage. Had a fat
rat in the room the first 2 days. After that we had a mouse. It is
not worth the money. They try to be something that they are not. My
recomendation is to go for something else. Relax Bay is a good suggestion.
But there s plenty of other options on the super Koh Lanta. If you
go diving I recommend Flip Flop diving company. |

SriLanta, Koh Lanta Yai, Klong Nin Beach
Very beautiful hotel, located on a quiet part of the island, with
some good restaurants around (you might want some directly on the
beach). Rooms are quite simple, some bugs around. Service is friendly,
but not always efficient. Common parts of the hotel are beautiful.
The common spaces are beautiful and very well-tended. The pool is
gorgeous, but small. One negative comment is that there were a lot
of families and young children when we were there, not very compatible
with the serene atmosphere the hotel wants to promote. One very positive
point were the fantastic yoga lessons. Despite what is said on several
website, they are NOT free (200 THB)but worth every penny of it. Would
definately go back. |

Only stayed for three nights, nice hotel but could be smartened up
a bit, there website and pictures are not quite the same as reality,
The restaurant is horribly overpriced, much nicer and cheaper food
is on offer just down the beach. Not a ba place to stay just don t
expect too much |

Sri Lanta was a wonderful place to stay in Koh Lanta. It is a little
more expensive than some other accomodation but well worth the money
as the other places never looked at the same standard. It is located
a 15 minute drive from the town/port probably almost the last hotel
located that far south but perfect in our opinion. We stayed 4 nights
and wish we had been able to stay longer as it was very peaceful and
friendly but not over the top or intrusive. It is a classy/modern
place situated right on the beach, there is a small but gorgeous pool
but with more than enough lounges along the property s beach front.
The only thing with Sri Lanta is they don t always do the smaller
things to make the stay extra special but for the price it was exceptional,
my husband and I will definitely recommend it to family and friends
and stay there again next time we go to Lanta. The only advise, you
can arrange a minibus to/from the airport from many of the travel
agencies for 300B per person which is heaps cheaper than the hotel. |

Very charming reception area zen-style . The bungalows were across
the main road and up the hill (in the jungle). We had alot of guests
in our room and checked out 2 days early because of cochroaches and
a giant spider in our first room (we changed after one night). The
staff were very helpfull and friendly but if you dont like living
with bugs you should consider another resort. The bathroom is open
air and this kept ud from using it at night because of we didnt now
what to find out there. |

SriLanta Resort, Koh Lanta, Koh Lanta Yai, Klong
Nin Beach
This was our second visit at this marvelous resort. 48 bungalows indicates
that there is never a lot of people (i.e crowded)and not only the
tempo but also the tone of voice is pleasently low. A japanese touch
in the styling and soft music in the background adds to the total
picture. Lovely staff, a fine restaurant, high quality spa and daily
yoga sessions really makes you calm down in a two-week stay. Unfortunatelly
though 2006 peak-season was very slow due to Tsunami-anxiety among
tourists(i.e the common opinion). Obviously this puts a strain on
the whole community and the employmentlevel is far to low. |

Reception area, pool, restaurant all very stylish and the price reflects
this. Food x3 the price of 100 yards down the beach at Miami Bungalows.
However the food was reall really good. Rooms were a bit of a shock,
the fear of insects getting in was awful. The bathrooms were terrible,
open and bare concrete walls, it really let the place down and would
stop me going back. Paid for the starpath which really wasn t worth
the added cost apart from giving you wonderful views. Would not recommend
to the faint hearted or people who dont like showring with slugs,
lizards etc |

Oh dear. I have a lot to say about this resort. I had no expectations
on luxury whatsoever, but this place is overrated. Negatives: The
staff s english is absolutely appouling. They didn t even know the
difference between hot and cold, a litte or a bit more, instead of
quality this resort have invested in quantity, a quantity of headless
chickens! The rooms are really dark, we asked for a change of light
bulb but nothing happened, my partner couldn t even have a shave,
on top of that, the villa we stayed in smelled of a disgusting smell
which I believe comes from the material the villa is made from. The
breakfast is boring and you don t get enough food. You can have Continental
or American breakfast, or Thai Breakfast. We found a staple (can you
belive that) in our breakfast and were invited to free dinner, but
we had to pay for the drinks. First time I experienced having a half
dining experience. Stingy, that s all I can say. There were many more
half unpleasant incidents that wouldn t fit in this comment box, things
that just left a bitter taste in your mouth. Positives: Great business
idea, great location, great venue, great layout, but when the wrong
brain is behind it, it does come through. Shame, great shame. |

Beautiful, serene accommodation, close enough to amenities but set
aside from the rest enough to feel privacy. Wonderful zen setting
with scenic common area and restaurant. While the restaurant is and
modern, the food is not fantastic, especially for the price. Daily
yoga better than expected - great teacher and wonderful way to start
the day! Bungalows nice, but could use an outdoor terrace for reading.
The wind causes dust to fall on everything inside. Otherwise, well
recommended place to stay, albeit much more pricey than the bungalows
on the same strip. Note: transportation booked through the hotel could
be more expensive than through local tour agencies! |
