Sripet
Hotel, Krabi Town
Being American, I confess our standards are quite high. This hotel
outdid themselves. It s PERFECT for a night s stay on your way out
of Krabi. SO very tastefully done in everything - even nice mattresses,
pillows and a lovely downed comforter. Note: There is no restaurant
at the hotel - except that they do serve breakfast. The hotel owners
gave us a ride into town for dinner though... and loaned us their
own personal umbrellas in case of rain. Really, they were awesome.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel, even though it s about a
6-minute tuk-tuk drive to town. |

Sripet Hotel, Krabi Town
This hotel was nice, new, and clean. The staff were friendly and eager
to help out a Western traveler with planning activities and transportation.
However, the location of this hotel was not very good for backpackers,
as it was a few miles from Krabi downtown. There were very few restaurants
or shops or familiar-looking storefront places within a half-hour
walk. Also, the ABF at the restaurant was not included in the room,
and was very lacking in taste. 12:30 check-out time was nice, though.
Go to Wat Tom Suah and climb the staircase. It s worth it! Overall,
nice place for a night if you arrive late to Krabi and leave the next
morning. But I wouldn t make it a multi-night place just based on
the location. If you have a motorcycle or car, this isn t really an
issue. |
