Vongthong Hotel, Buriram
Located 30 min walk from train stn and 5 min from bus stn.Staff appeared
to be rather indifferent. Room was large but basic. No hot water at
bathroom wash basin. No english language channels on cable TV. Terrace
cafe good value at night. Breakfast bad experience, limited set menu,
hot coffee was a cup of warm water with instant coffee sachet, fresh
orange juice was a sickly orange cordial. I will not stay there again |

Vongthong Hotel, Buriram
During 4 nights I was staying at Vongthong Hotel at Buriram. The hotel
is good and the staf was friendly. I had a big suite room. Its a good
place to stay. I I can recommend this hotel. |

For the price, good value. No serious complaints, although lack of
at least one decent English language TV station was surprising and
disappointing; non-Thai TV station reception incredibly poor. Also
I don t like having to put my valuables in a shared safe. Getting
laundry back was always a struggle. But these are minor irritations:
overall the hotel is fine. By the way, the Balcony Bar staff (breakfast/evening
drinks etc) are very nice people and the live singing every night
is great. Would I stay there again? Yes. [Across the road the Star
Internet shop is a good place to go.] |

The Vongthong Hotel in Buriram is very nice.The staff are friendly,the
service is good.The location could not be better near the bus station,the
shops and the city center.The feeling there is very relaxed in many
respects it has the feeling of a beach resort and for everything you
get the prive is very good.If you come to Buriram stay here |

Stayed with wife and two 17 year old grand daughters for 2 1/2 days.
Very amazed to find a Hotel of this quality in a rural non tourist
town. RECEPTION Naturally difficult to communicate however courteous
and helpfull ROOMS (One Delux and one VIP)Did not expect the massive
size and appointments.Very clean. MEALS Adequate. Service good. LOCATION
Only possible problem is situated on outskirts of town. Will definitely
be returning as son is living in farm outside of town |

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Very good staff. The room
was massive and clean. Only down point, at certain times throughout
the day the bathroom stank of sewage, I think from a small hole in
the floor. It was not a problem thoigh we just had to keep the bathroom
door shut. |

Vongthong Hotel, Buriram
Stayed in a VIP room for 3 nights. The bedroom is spacious and clean.
A/C leaking after longish use; the room is so big that you have to
get the A/C going the whole night (not too noisy). The shower and
the bath tub are a total misconstruction! If you suffer from hip or
knee problems, you won t be able to get into the tub. The shower head
is mounted at knee-level height and makes showering somewhat cumbersome.
The shower curtain is about about a metre away from the bath tub and
is not meant to protect the water from spilling onto the floor, but
to protect you from being seen by other people in the bathroom?! If
you are a Westener, forget the breakfast; instant coffe that you have
to prepare yourself; fried eggs that look old already as they come
out of the kitchen; some Thai rice dishes. We had the bad luck that
a bus group stayed at the hotel, and on two mornings, the staff was
unable or unwilling to find a free seat for us in the breakfast room
(veranda). But otherwise, good value for money, and I haven t seen
any other decent accomodation in Buri ram; the alternatives are very
limited. |

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY, MY MUM AND STEP DAD STAYED AT YOUR HOTEL
I BOOKED THE HOTEL FOR THEM WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY WERE GREETED WELL
AND WERE LOOKED AFTER THROUGHOUT THERE STAY,THEY ARE A FUSSY COUPLE
BUT THEY ENJOYED THERE STAY AND CAN NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT THERE STAY.
THE ONLY THING THEY DID NOT LIKE WAS NO EUROPEAN BREAKFAST. I RECOMMENDED
THE HOTEL TO A BEST FRIEND HE SAID THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND
HE WOULD RETURN. |
