Banpu
Resort & Spa, Trat, Koh Pu Peninsula
Banpur Resort and Spa is a lovely hotel on the mainland in Trat. The
rooms were very comfortable and clean. There were alot of mosquitos
due to the fact that the hotel is positioned over water so be prepared
with your repellant. Also be aware that if you fly into Trat there
is no public/meter taxis available from the airport which is owned
by Bangkok Air. They will try and charge you 1600 baht for a one way
transfer to the Hotel!!!! The better option is to get them to give
you a lift to the ferry wharf 200 baht per person and then get a taxi
from there abour 450 baht. The resort is about 35 minutes drive from
the wharf. |

Banpu Resort & Spa, Trat, Koh Pu Peninsula
This is Banpu Resort & Spa on the mainland near Trat town. I was going
to Koh Mak and on arriving on the last flight to Trat there was not
ferry until the next day. this hotel is half and hour from Laem Ngob
Pier. The hotel itself is set around a small lake, and also by the
sea in mangroves. My room was big clean with an efficient shower,
WC etc. It was lakeside. The place was not busy, and I found my stay
there very peaceful, looking across calm waters. there was a good
size swimming pool, and massage etc. available. |

Banpu Resort & Spa, Trat, Koh Pu Peninsula
Used this hotel for an overnight stay before going to Koh Chang. The
room was as expected - wooden chalet style on stilts over the sea
- or over the mud when the tide is out. Big outside balcony but not
much of a sea view because of the mangroves. Room was big and clean.
Bathroom was a bit shabby but clean with hot power shower. The restaurant
was again on stilts over the sea but with a view. The food was very
very good. Service a bit slow probably because of the distance to
the kitchen. Breakfast next to the lake was cooked to order as much
as you could eat. Staff were friendly - overall a pretty good hotel. |

Fantastic gardens, nice swimming pool. The restaurant is also quite
good and romantic. Slow service though! When the tide is out, the
seaview bungalows lose a lot of their charm - just huts in a mangrove
swamp. All the same, a different experience and good value. |
