Jomtien
Garden Hotel & Resort, Jomtien Beach
The hotel is an okay touristhotel. The staff were friendly, especially
in the morning restaurant and the bell boys. We travelled with a 1
year old boy and did not have any problems at all with the hotel,
whom charged 100 bath pr. night for a baby cot. We didn t see that
anywhere else. Okay hotel for the money, but nothing special. |

The website makes this older hotel nicer than it really appears. I
was very surprised with how dated and dumpy the hotel appeared when
I first arrived. The hallways were very dark and I was not too impressed
with the lobby or pool area. HOWEVER, for $80USD a night I was happy
with the size of the room. I booked a 2 bedroom ocean view suite.
It had a sink and refrigerator, a dining area and couch, which was
perfect for my family of 4. I wish I could have been on a higher floor,
but no complaints. Buffet breakfast was adequate. Location across
from beach was good too. The restaurant immediately next door was
superb! Being halh-Thai and having traveled to Thailand over 30 years,
I think, for the price, the hotel was good. I was irritated by all
the other hotel guests (Russians?), laying out towels at the pool
to save chairs in the morning while they ate their breakfast or went
sightseeing. If you are looking for more resort style accommations,
I would try somewhere else. This is a tourist hotel for sure! |

I stayed two weeks at the Jomtien Garden Hotel and was really pleased
with the service and the room. I stayed in a suite room with two bedrooms.
It was cleaned daily the location was across the road from Jomptien
beach and with access to many bars and restaurants. The staff were
very friendly and obliging and the breakfast was very varied. Large
selection of Thai food plus omlettes and eggs etc., Will certainly
stay there next time I am in Jomptien. |

Big,Clean and tidy rooms. Value for money for standard class. No surprises-
What you see is what you get, no luxary and reception staff not overwelming
to help you. Good location. Close to bizzy Pattaya, but not too close.
Easy to get a ??song taew?? anytime. I recommend a week in Koh Samet
as a relaxing difference after staying here.... |

Good standard of hotel - only major drawback is very few staff speak
English and this can be a problem (although they are always helpful).
If taking a suite - do not take seaview as the noise from the road
+ late night music is a problem. Wear pool shoes as there are many
cracked tiles. Staff helpful and room standards good and clean. |
