Khaolak Resort, Khao Lak, Nang Thong Beach
Ideal location right in Khaolak centre. Well run resort, fantastic
gardens, plenty of beds on clean beach and around pool. Good beach
restaurant with great staff and reasonable prices. Plenty of choices
for breakfast. We had a sea view villa which was very spacious with
verandah. Staff very attentive. Will definitely stay there again.

Good value for your money! Very good location in Nan thong, Khao Lak.
We stayed at the two stories cottage. The hotel has a boutigue hotel
feeling. Hotel has made a good job with the plants and trees. The
beach restaurant is highly recommended. The breakfast is Ok, but it
could have been some more vegetables. We recommend this hotel and
Khao Lak. |

We can really recommend this hotel. The rooms was spacius and well
furnitured. The location was good walking distance to the city only
five minutes away. The staff was very polite and friendly, the breakfast
was really good with variations. We were eating dinner at the resturant
one night and was quite suprised over the good quality, of course
it was a little more expensive but well worth the money. The beach
was really nice if you have bigger children or youths because of the
big waves(anyway in october). We will return next year and we will
stay at the same hotel because it was one of the better hotels we
have stayed in thailand so far, so i can highly recommend baan khao
laak resort |

Baan Khaolak Resort, Khao Lak, Nang Thong Beach
beautiful hotel brand new! big!!rooms, nice swimming pool but no spa
reception speaks poor english but is very friendly, great breakfast.
Beach is not for swimming in august to much current and waves but
you can lay in beach beds provided by hotel. there are no activities
in hotel they have a tour desk but they speak almost no english and
are more expensive then in the village. overall good hotel for doing
nothing for couple of days |

Baan Khaolak Resort, Khao Lak, Nang Thong Beach
Baan Khao Lak is very nice hotel, everything is very well maintained.
We have spent our time in two storied cottage, our family took good
value option of two rooms in ground floor with connecting doors. The
rooms are very clean and spacious. The good thing about this hotel
is that it is close to restaurants and shops in Khao Lak, the prices
for food and beverages in the hotel were a little bit over our budget.
Breakfast was OK, but in low season the was no buffet, you could order
anything on the menu. Despite the monsoon the weather waS OK, but
it seems that Khao Lak gets much more rain than Phuket and places
more on south. |

Baan Khaolak Resort, Khao Lak, Nang Thong Beach
RE-built and opened in 2006 this hotel is of the highest quality for
a 3 star rating hotel.Tsuanmi in 2004 destroyed this hotel and most
of staff were killed as well. Family resort that will make your holiday
in thailand a memorable one.Shopping 10-15 mins away by foot. The
interior in ALL categorised rooms are excellent and each have balconies
with outside chairs to relax on. Beach villa s has an ensuite room
with the fridge and closet area located behind the wall of the king
size bed then you have toilet spa and two showers 1 outside the other
inside possible to sleep 4/5(kingbed + 2 adults or 3 children can
sleep in the HUGE sofa/lounge area) Zero metres from beach. Seaview
villa s can sleep 3 (family of 4 with 2 toddlers),25 metres from beach
Cottage Room is a duplex villa, sleeping capacity is same as seaview
villa.50 metres away from beach. Superior Room, sleeping capacity same
as seaview (families of 5 may even be able to fit into a handicap
superior room as they are huge!!,queenbed ,sofa-bed + 2 x foldout
beds are possible) 80-100 metres from beach 2 storey rooms is a Standard
Room are in the lowest category but are absolutely top grade rooms,
just lacking sofa/lounge area that the other room types have, quite
roomy but I do not suggest to have an extra bed put into these rooms
but at this level its cheap enough to lease the adjoining room and
have the extra space!! (have joining door between rooms)100-130 metres
from beach and very acceptable.(GREAT VALUE !! We will stay in these
next time around) We stayed in the cottage room and leased adjoining
room for our sons and lived in luxury, so we had twice the tv,toilet/shower,sofa,
fridge etc Heaps of storage space for all clothes and travel bags.
Staff are young and still need time to develop skills to make one
s stay even more pleasurable. As experienced before at other hotels
in Thailand, ants will find their way into your room if the enticement
of food is left out Breakfast is very good, above average I may say
and I m sure it would be a buffet style breakfast in peak season,we
experienced made to order in low season. Beach restaurant is good
but can improve and I hear that they will expand eating area onto/towards
closer to the beach. Wireless internet is available at a cost, buy
the 500bht cards for value!! Mountain bike hire at 100bht a day along
with training/weights room and internet room for those that havn t
got their laptops. Honeymooners note that in low season this is the
place to be to have that quiet, relaxing time you would want . Shopping, tailors, thai
massage and restaurants are active and although not everything is
running in low season we found it to be more than enough to keep you
satisfied during your stay. 1.5-2 hrs drive to patong if you like
that type holiday enviroment (lunatic madness/circus of spruikers
trying to get your dollar) Diveshops were also active in low season
with many closed with out for a dive sign on the door probably due
to low season again, many tours that operate the 1 day tours to the
ocean.ie pp island etc were not operating in the low season. Baan
khaolak resort gave us exactly what we wanted in a relaxing holiday,
sounds of the ocean crashing onto the beach, sun and things/sites
see and do. Great food to be eaten at a price embarrasing cheap to
mention in town. We are planning next trip to thailand we will use
this resort as our base, something we havn t done before!! 1st time
to khaolak after 7 visits to thailand but definately not my last .
Paradise before the circus comes to town!! IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!! |

Baan Khaolak Resort, Khao Lak, Nang Thong Beach
We had a great time at this resort. We had 3 garden view rooms. They
were large and spacious. The bathroom windows had fly screens and
opened, which was wonderful. The resort is extremely well laid out
and it is well maintained. The food was great and the staff were wonderful.
I would reccommmend this resoort to any one looking for a relaxing
place to holiday. |
