We loved our stay in this delightful Oasis on the sea. The staff was very friendly, the breakfasts delicious and the room and view fabulous. Our room was private, clean and large. We were so pleased with the quite town of Khao Lak. The waterfalls were beautiful and worth the hike and the snorkeling was fabulous. The beach area was not crowded like some of the other Islands.

Small but a cosy & relaxing place to stay. Love the stunning seaview from the room and balcony. Well maintained except for a big cockroach dwelling in the toilet. Try the blue crab papaya salad at Muai Lan Restaurant next to Baan Krating (its sister restaurant). Cheap, special & nice.

Everyting about the hotel and location was very good. The bungalows very good located and secluded with a fantastic view over the beaches. Service was also very good.

Nice hotel with a wonderfull view over the ocean from the rooms. The staff was friendly and very serviceminded. The hotel is located close to the beach, and it is a paved walking path with steps down to the wonderfull beach. As far as we are concerned this was a perfect choice of hotel and we would love to return in the future. Thank you all at Baan Krating Hotel.

Baan Krating Khao Lak, Khao Lak, Khuk Khak Beach
We spent there 2 nights during the rainy season. The ambient was wonderful, the staff was attentive and very friendly. There were only a few other guests. There was some construction and gardening going on which can t be heard in the room, pool or restaurant but from the beach platform. They didn t expect guests to visit the beach due to the weather. So the place and the couches were a little bit messy. Overall I would recommend it anyway.

the different bungalows are very nice situated with a beautiful view over the sea and the beaches. It s calm and very friendly staff. It s a remote place compare to the hotels in Kao Lak; that was exactly what we were looking for.

very nice and calm hotel, clean and very friendly staff.only the place with the deckchairs is very ugly and reminds me of a caged beton playground in a big city and there are not enough deckchairs anyway!

Baan Krating Khao Lak, Khao Lak, Khuk Khak Beach
Baan Krating Khao Lak has really nice views of the Andaman Sea. It s a great place to go if you just want to read, relax and wander to the beach every now and then. Baan Krating is too far from Khao Lak town to walk comfortably, but you can walk to other resorts nearby. You can also walk to a national park. There is one restaurant you can walk to very easily (Muan Lai) which is not bad, but does not have international selections. The bungalow itself is clean, comfortable, not big but not too small, with a very nice covered balcony overlooking the Andaman Sea. It has all the amenities for a comfortable, multi-night stay. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We had a rental car; there is not a lot of parking, so if you hire a car you may need to jockey back and forth to enter/leave the small car park. Overall, a good value for the money and recommended.
