Paradise
Koh Yao Resort, Phang Nga, Koh Yao Noi
Overwhelming! A paradies for people who are looking for quiescence
and really relaxing days. The staff is very friendly, helpful and
polite. The two restaurants (Thai and European) offer outstanding
food. The price are higher than on the mainland, however the price
achievement is absolutely correct for the good quality of food. The
beautiful sandy beach with the beautiful palm vegetation can't cover
the fact, that it is impossible to swim in the sea during low tide.
As alternative the resort offers free trips for swimming and snorkeling
on neighbouring islands. A stay during the empty- or fullmoon phase
is recommended. At this periode, there is surely a maximum water level
daily. During this phase, swimming is absolutely without problem.
Otherwise there is a beautiful pool available. We can absolutely recommend
this Resort, in a nearly unaffected nature and we are sure that we
return again. |

Paradise Koh Yao Resort, Phang Nga, Koh Yao Noi
The scenery here is breathtaking and when we first arrived at Paradise
Koh Yao we were really impressed. Time stands still here. There is
a beatiful beach with palm trees. The pool and reception area is very
nice. The food in the restaurant is okay, but I wish they would get
some covers to place over the fruit plates to keep the flies away.
You can eat your dinner directly on the beach and the lighting at
night creates a wonderful atmosphere in the evenings. This is a resort
for honeymoners and romantic couples. We were a bit dissapopted with
the swimming here though. For a long period each day during low-tide
it is not possible to swim. And during high-tide the visibility in
the water is really poor - you can t see your feet when you stand
on the bottom. We also took a tour to a few other islands nearby where
the snorkeling was supposed to be good. However, apparantly the tsunami
killed a lot of the corals in this area and the snorkeling in this
region is really poor. We stayed in a delux room with a jacuzzi. The
room was very nice, especially the open-air bathroom with wonderfull
views. The delux rooms are located far up the hill and have a very
nice view of the bay. The pool villas are right on the beach. We didn
t use the jacuzi much - it was cold and didn t feel very clean, but
the nice views from the delux rooms still warrants the extra cost.
We did have a few bugs in our room, but nothing really problematic.
The service from all staff was impeccable. Go here if you want beatiful
surroundings with peace and quite and don t mind that the swimming
and snorkeling conditions in the sea are poor. |

Paradise Koh Yao Resort, Phang Nga, Koh Yao Noi
This is a beautiful resort - totally cut off so you can really relax.
The beach is massive so you are never laying next to anyone (although
there are only 4 actual loungers here and then deck chairs and fancy
hammocks so if you need to lay out bag one early!) The private terraces
are great and you can spend hours in the swinging sofa s! Be warned
that the jaccuzzi s are freezing cold and only have two jets - they
are not European style. Fine if you go in the hotter months but we
found it too nippy to get in in December! Also note that some of the
bungalow s actually have an upstairs with rooms. Ours did intitally
and we had rather noisy people running about up there but the staff
are great and when we notified them of the problem we were moved to
a true bungalow which was v v peacful and had a spectacular view.
The food is good although the menu would be a little limited for a
full week. It s reasonably priced but still about 3 times that of
the mainland and drinks can add up (just over ?1 for a cup of tea,
?2 small beer and ?1.50 for a large water...)so don t come here if
you are on a budget or expecting Thai prices. All the rooms have TV
s and DVD players which is a fab idea and there is a little library
you can borrow from too. The staff are all lovely and the Thai massage
in the spa well worth trying out. |

Paradise Koh Yao Resort, Phang Nga, Koh Yao Noi
We had a wonderful time in the Paradise . The resort itself is located
on a private beach and the view is as picturesque as a place can get.
We had a delux room up in the hill - spacious, clean and comes with
lots of extra amenities. The restaurant serves both traditional thai
and italian cuisine and the presentation and food is amazing. Everything
is open air, from the reception area to the restaurant itself. The
pool is beautiful and you can walk from it directly to the beach.
The staff are gracious and extremely polite and make your stay as
relaxing as possible. If you want a quiet, beautiful, relaxing place
this is the one for you. We highly recommend the Paradise Koh Yao
and would definitely stay there again. |
