White Beach Resort, Nai Thon Noi Beach
Andaman White Beach Resort will be a fantastic resort... when rennovations
are complete. My partner and I were very disappointed when we recently
visited to find that half of the resort was under construction and
the pool was out of order. Due to it s location, well away from Phuket
town and Patong (about 1400 baht return), it makes sense to stay at
Andaman White Beach Resort if you are looking for a private break
to read in the sun, have a massage and enjoy a bit of R&R. They have
other excursions but you re best to head out and spend a few nights
at Phi Phi Island Village Resort if you re keen to snorkel etc. Divine.
With half the place cordoned off and no pool, we weren t left with
much to do. Also our Sea View Room was really more of a sea glimpse
room - quite different to the view posted on the website. However,
it woudl be fair to say that the room we were landed with was the
dud of about 20 Sea View rooms - some had spectacular views. However,
on complaining that the accommodation was not really what we had lead
to believe and our disappointment with 50% of the resort under construction,
the operations manager understood our issues and arranged for us to
be moved to a beach front suite with our own pool. A very lovely room
- highly recommended. The Thai food was pretty good, didn t sample
the Italian. massages in the Spa were also great - although we assume
that one of the rennovations was for an updated Spa. We d go back
again. We d just be wary of checking with the resort before we went
to ensure we weren t in the middle of a building site again. |

We really enjoyed our stay in this resort. Beautiful quite place,
very friendly and service oriented people. The only minor point is
that it s located quite far from other activities, so you need transportation
or take a taxi. (Taxis are relatively expensive) For people that are
looking for a beautiful and a peaceful environment, I can definately
recommend this place. Restaurant is good, a little expensive (relative
to normal Thai restaurants. |

OK, before our holiday, I tried reading through the reviews to get
an idea of what to expect at this hotel. After spending a week at
this hotel, I have to say that whoever wrote the negative comments
about this hotel must have either stayed at another hotel altogether
or have had such high expectations of the top notch resorts like banyan
tree or amanpuri with their top notch room rates. Having been to many
of the accomodations in Thailand, I think this hotel is really value
for money The villa was well equipped and had a nice patio to relax
in. They have a nice pool to relax at and from the poolside, you can
sit at the deckchairs to view the sea and sunset, sipping your favorite
cocktail which by the way is one for one between 6pm to 7pm. There
are deckchairs placed at the beach too. The beach is really quite
fantastic... very private, clean and scenic. To walk from the villa
to the beach is not far. The spread for the buffet breakfast is reasonable
for the hotel of this standard. Staff at the hotel are friendly and
always willing to accomodate in the typical thai fashion. I would
certainly recommend this hotel as it is one of the better ones on
the island in terms of beach and hotel facility. However, if you are
looking for the Patong Nightlife everyday, then this may not be for
you as it is rather isolated and about 30-40 mins drive to Patong
beach. It would be adviseable to rent a car if you plan to explore
the rest of the island. Many shopping malls like central, some waterfalls
and pub hopping at Patong would require a set of wheels for easy mobility.

Wonderful Wonderful. This is the best resort I ve ever been. In the
picture, resort looks sort of worn out, but it is actually not. The
place is kept very neat and I was surprized that there were really
no bugs or mosquitos! I ve been to Patong area too, but trust me,
this resort might be some distance to get to somewhere else, but if
you are really looking for some quality vacation, go for Andaman White
Beach Resort!!!! I wish I could attach a picture taken at the resort
here.. Food is EXCELLENT too!!!!! I tried some food in Phuket town
and in Patong, too, but the resort has the best the best food. I hope
this would be a helpful comment, too. We were actually looking for
beach access room but they were fully booked so had to go for sea
view. Guess what? I think sea view is better. If you get be3ach access
room, you ll probably have to deal with a lot of bugs and some privacy
problem because people using the pool or those trying to get to the
beach have no choice but to trespass your villa. Distance wise, no
difference at all. I say GO FOR SEA VIEW VILLA!!!! + We have also
went for Phi Phi Island tour provided by the resort for 2900Bht. If
you re really looking for snorkling and some adventures, I suggest
go for some other package. But if you re more into tour, I guess it
could be a good choice for you. anyway, I d give 100% shot for Andaman
White Beach Resort, if I were you. (massage and spa are a little costly,
compared to other places downtown by the way) |

We enjoyed our five-night stay at this hotel: very charming, beautiful
sea view from our superior room, wonderful staff. Too bad we experienced
a problem with the room door that wouldn t lock. This happened every
day despite our repeated complaints. Also, the food was too expensive. |

It’s a cute little resort tucked away in a jungle-looking area right
on the beach which gives it a feeling of wilderness. Our superior
room was cozy with a lovely view of the sea and a beautiful bathroom.
Unfortunately, the resort is old and its wooden structure and furniture
are run down. The vegetation in the resort and the beach are neglected:
half burned leaves, areas with a dead lawn, lots of empty bottles,
broken pieces of wood, abandoned sandals, even a florescent light
tube washed away by the waves. I noticed this trash on our first day
there. Even worse, when we checked in, and after four hours of having
to wait in the lobby, we found several problems in the room. Our room
was Number 200. The problems were: (1) AC blowing warm air, (2) room
door didn’t lock, (3) pillows filthy. Regarding the door lock, we
complained about it every day of our stay there (5 days out of 5).
The first time, someone came with a screwdriver to try to solve the
problem. It didn’t work. We told them again. Same result. We complained
again, nobody seemed to care. We demanded to see the manager on the
third day who then promised us that a new lock would be installed
the following day, our day 4 out of 5. Nothing was done about it!
In the end we just gave up because every time we talked to them about
the problem was stressful to us. It simply was not worth the effort
and frustration. We would NEVER stay in this resort again!! |
