The Aquamarine Resort & Villa, Kamala Beach
The resort is very well appointed. The swimming pools offer stunning
views to the sea below. The website is a little misleading, however,
in that the resort has no beach and that you must take the shuttle
to kamala beach if you want the beach experience. I was also surprised
to find that on two occasions the shuttle didn’t come to pick us up
as we had arranged. No big deal, but we had to pay for an overpriced
taxi ride back to the hotel. We found the restaurants to offer very
good food. The breakfast was good, with a good variety. The service
was pleasant in the restaurant, but not so at the front desk and car
hire/bell hop desk. They seemed to make you feel as though you were
disturbing their chatting or something. I would not stay there again.
There are too many other places to stay that offer better value. Too
bad that Phuket in general seems to have lost its charm. It’s all
about fleecing the tourist of their money. Samui offered us a far
better experience. |

The Aquamarine Resort & Villa, Kamala Beach
Hotel looks nice, rooms ok. Service should be improved- for the complete
stay we found some dead mosquitos and flies at the walls. No one replaced
them! The shuttle service to Kamala over the day is ok, but last shuttle
at 6pm is a very poor service. Also the service to Patong is very
poor. Only 10 people can go with the shuttle at 5.30 pm. No return
service is offered. Some of the employees are not very attentive and
more interested among each other. We expected a bit more service and
comfort for the price paid. |

The Aquamarine Resort & Villa, Kamala Beach
Very nice hotel, nice staff. Room is very comfortable room and nicely
decorated. Hotel is a bit out of the way but this is not a problem,
as you have to take a taxi in Phuket anyway to go from beach to beach.
White Orchid restaurant just below the hotel is excellent (tiger prawns
and black pepper crab are a must). Kamala is a quiet village with
nice restaurants, and close to beautiful Laem Singh Beach ! |

The Aquamarine Resort & Villa, Kamala Beach
Nice Hotel newly built some building qre still on construction, free
shuttle to atong and Kamala beach, 3 swimming pool, breakfast with
many choice, but location of this hotel is isolated, walk 10 mn to
Kamala ( dark during night and difficult to go to others restaurants
), many areas distroyed by tsunami and not rebuilt around. Panoramic
view on beach from the swimming pool ( 3 in total and one with jacuzzi
) and pratically all the room as this hotel is on an hill, service
and complimentaries were very appreciated ( cup of fruits, free starter
in restaurant... ) |

The Aquamarine Resort & Villa, Kamala Beach
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the Aquamarine resort. It s a
good quality, peaceful and relaxing hotel with friendly and attentive
staff who were particularly good with our 7 month old. Lovely pool
areas, a couple of good restaurants and a relaxing (though underused
so very quiet) lobby bar. The hotel is set a couple of km from Kamala
beach on a hill overlooking the sea. The hotel has a free shuttle
bus going into town every hour during the day or it s a 200bht taxi
journey. Kamala itself is fairly small town with a variety of restaurants,
minimarts and tailors as well as a couple of ATMs and a bank. |

The Aquamarine Resort & Villa, Kamala Beach
A truly wonderful hotel! We were there for 6 nights in a standard
room and we thought it was perfect. It s a bit out of the way from
the madness of Patong, which suited us fine as it was easy enough
to get there when we wanted to. The closest beach is a bit rocky but
it s no problem to get a taxi to another one. The food was magnificent,
the pool delightful (and not overcrowded), the staff faultless and
the overall feel of the place was relaxed and friendly. In our opinion,
the hotel is not the place to stay if you re in the 18-25 category
and want to drink hard and party hard. It s probably not suited to
the frail or disabled either as it s built on a fairly steep hill.
It is however, suited to anyone wanting a peaceful Thai adventure
without the frenzy of the popular tourist spots. We shall be going
back for sure! |

The Aquamarine Resort & Villa, Kamala Beach
hotel has very nice pools with great views of the andaman sea. the
rooms are nice but a bit on the darkish side with a great deal of
polished teak in the interior. rooms were very clean. as the hotel
is located about 12/15 mins. car ride to patong, it is quite inconvenient
to go to town; (taxi costs around 200-300baht)one way;furthermore,
with its isolation, one cannot go for a walk after dinner. the hotel
is built on a very steep hill, so unless you are assigned to the block
closest to the main building, one has to get the hotel s shuttle bus
to go to/from rooms. |
