Capri Beach Resort, Phuket, Thailand
Manager of the hotel is very helpful and nice, we even got an upgrade
without extra charge to a room with a view. We got tips around Phuket
and tours etc. including shopping. They even let us leave our suitcases
to the hotel while we visited PhiPhi for a little over a week. Hotel
itself and the room was ok (biggest doublebed ever), location relatively
close to the narrow beach, but far from the action in Patong. On the
other hand the Thai staff of the hotel is amazingly poor. Restaurant
had only 10 guests, but they managed to spend 45 minutes until I got
starters on the table. Food was under par and you almost needed to
shout to waiters to get service that was really slow and neglecting.
I haven t met this kind of attitude nowhere in Thailand before. In
addition to this only one of the reception people speaks english and
they rarely give you a greeting or even a smile. That left kind of
a mixed feeling about the hotel. I have to wonder what is wrong with
the staff the manager being so professional towards the guests. All
in all our stay was nice and I can recommend the hotel for a few nights
stopover if you don t use the restaurant or don t mind the staff. |

the hotel was very nice. our room was really clean, it had extra towels
and a safe, the ac was a bit loud. it was very close to the beach
and a good distance from shopping areas and the airport! |

I was pleasantly suprised with Capri Beach Resort. I found it to be
a quaint hotel which is excellently located two minutes walk from
the beach. The service was great and the room was ideal with a lovely
bathroom and wooden furniture. I strongly recommend this hotel, it
has a really homely feel and enjoyed my stay. I strongly recommend
this hotel to anyone wanting to stay there and would stay there again
when I return to thailand. |

Hotel was okay for the price; it was clean, but you should know that
no view means no window . Staff very helpful and friendly; great restaurant.
Beach with lots of sunbeds, Thai massage stands, beach bars and restaurants
etc. just 3 minutes away. If you want entertainment and nightlife,
it s not the best place to go; there s just a few restaurants and
one bar in the neighbourhood. |

This was a huge disappointment. The written descritption did not come
close to representing the actuality of Capri. It was not 100 steps
to the beach. 100 steps to a field that went to the beach where stuff
burned and you could smell it. Situated on a a busy busy street, the
roar of trucks and motorcycles. Construction right under our balcony.
No sea view, unless you claim a thumbnail piece in between palm leaves
a sea view. Very expensive for a Deluxe room as it was not deluxe
- rather spartan in fact. Surin beach is small and congested - overbuilt.
We did not stay at the Capri Beach resort after the 1st night. We
found other, much better, accomodations truly 100 steps to beach and
less expensive. We do not recommend Capri Beach Resort. |

Friendly small hotel in an excellent location with a very personable
staff. Restaurant in lobby probably has the best brick oven pizza
on Phuket. This is the perfect business hotel-type accomadation at
a very affordable price on the beach. |
