Chedi
Phuket, Pansea Beach
My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the deluxe cottages for 6 days.
We were 100% satisfied with the accomodation, and almost 100% satisfied
with the service. The cottage was near the pool and beach, (view from
room too) while affording a good level of privacy. The cottage s being
near the Sunset Bar allowed us access to the Internet via the bar
s fast WIFI network. The room itself had beautiful wood flooring,
a king-size bed, and tasteful decor; and everything functioned without
fault. The service was unpretentious, friendly, and efficient. The
only black mark was that according to the in-room info, the Sunset
Bar and Cafe was open until midnight. When we went at 11PM, however,
we were told the kitchen was closed. There are no places to eat at
that hour within walking distance of the hotel. Top, top notch hotel
staff would offer to do something for starving guests. No assistance
whatsoever was offered to us. All-in-all this is a very good hotel
for those who want luxurious seclusion in a romantic and natural setting.
I would easily recommend the deluxe cottages, which are a great value
when booked via Sawadee in low-season. |

ver nice hotel on an amazing beach in phuket.. defintely the best
beach to be on.. Be aware though if you book a hillside cottage it
is a treck up several hundred stairs!!!! The hotel is generally very
good apart from the dinner menu. food on several occassions was poor!!
Loved everything else though. |

Beautiful beach. The best I have stayed at in Phuket! Lovely small
exclusive hotel mostly for couples. Very quiet and peaceful. Not suitable
for children as there are alot of stairs to the bungalows. Great food
at the restaurant. Staff very friendly and kind. good location to
airport and Patong not far, shops at walking distance. Can t fault
this wonderful hotel. It s not the most modern 5 star hotel as it
s older but very comfortable, clean and tidy, with a boutique exclusive
feel, and rustic Thai charm. Not alot to do here except lie in the
sun, swim in the sea, have a beach massage, and eat and sleep!! Very
relaxing!! We would love to return again to The Chedi. |

The Chedi Phuket, Pansea Beach
We stayed in a hillside bungalow, and had a great stay, although the
room looked as though it was due for some refurbishment with the floors
being exceptionally creaky. The shower was particularly disappointing
for a resort of this calibre, as it was an extremely basic facility
with inconsistent water temperature. You could have been in any number
of very inexpensive resorts in Thailand. We were travelling with a
new baby, and couldn t have been much further away from the pool,
etc (room 222). There are also a lot of steps to the hillside rooms.
Fortunately though there was a slope access behind our room (made
for the staff s motorbikes for food and luggage delivery) which enabled
us to use the pushchair as far as the lobby. The only way down to
the pool from there though is via many steep stone steps, so be prepared
for lots of carrying. If travelling with young children I would definitely
recommend staying in the more expensive rooms lower down, as it was
hard work getting around. Anyone in a wheelchair would also find it
an impossible resort to stay at. The facilities were excellent, with
a great pool and beach area. We were always able to find suitable
loungers with enough shade for the baby, and the staff were extremely
helpful. The restaurants were also excellent, with a good wine list.
The room service menu was very limited though. All in all we had a
great stay and would definitely stay there again, albeit in a different
room. |

The Chedi Phuket, Pansea Beach
The Chedi is located on a lovely white sand beach which is really
quiet and peaceful, as only 2 hotels use it. The hotel has all the
facilities you could need and the staff are very helpful. The only
bad comment I have is that the bathroom in our hillside cottage was
looking old, and needed a refurb, as some of the tiles were cracked,
and the grout was a bit dirty. |

Chedi Phuket, Pansea Beach
The Chedi was an absolutely amazing place to stay. Each private bungalow
was decorated beautifully and was very large and comfortable. The
staff were very very helpful and very very friendly. I enjoyed everything
about the hotel, the scenery, the bungalow, the pool and each of the
restaurants. The spa deals for couples were also amazing and my boyfriend
and I had an amazingly quiet and relaxing stay. |

Chedi Phuket, Pansea Beach
My stay in The Chedi is excellent. With only 100 over villas, the
place is not overcrowded with guests. The service is very personalised
as the staff remembers us by our names and are very friendly and helpful.
In terms of facilities, The Chedi is lacking in a gym and games room.
As this is an all-inclusive resort, it s good to organise certain
activities (yoga, kickboxing, meditation classes) to keep the guests
occupied. The fixtures for the hillside villa are rather worn out.
Creaking fan and bathroom door that does not close properly are some
of the small things overlooked. But overall, it s a very good experience.

Outstanding! A beautiful tranquil beach and good swimming pool. Ideal
location for those palying the golf courses in Phuket. The hotel staff
ver y friendly and efficient and the villas were 5 star. Perched high
above the ocean. i would return to the Chedi and Surin beach area
is great. 10/10. We had a great holiday! We go to Thailand every year
and the Chedi was the best!! |

Absolutely beautiful resort. Cannot fault a thing except it did not
have a gym. Highly recommended hotel. Don t bother trying restaurant
next door in the Amanpuri, overpriced and staff like to remind you
that you are in the Chedi. |

Chedi Phuket, Pansea Beach
Chedi was fantastic! Stayed there for 6 nights and they upgrade us
from a hillside to a superior cottage... so ask for an upgrade if
you re staying a while. Chedi is a business hotel, didn t catch many
families there but good atmosphere nonetheless. The best part about
it is the private beach, so if exclusiveness is what you re looking
for, a definite yes! Rooms 7/10, beach 8/10, service 9/10. More for
couples or business travellers. Check out the beachside resteraunt,
might be open now (it was closed after the tsunami)it looks absolutely
amazing. Highly recommended |
