Coral Island Resort is so great a place to be at least once in a life
time. what makes this island different from others is that, your pravacy
is assured. no one disturbs you!!! it is a place you can swim in the
sea anytime any how without fear. the rooms are great. foods and drink
are secconds to none. your stay can not be completed without fishining.
just rent a boat, to sunset, and fishing would be a great day in your
life. if fish is your favorate like me, then just tell the staff how
you want the fish to be prepared and enoy your meal just by the seaside.what
a paradise on earth!!!! |

A very quiet and idilic location to stay at!The bay is very peaceful
after 1500hrs when all of the tourists disapear in their longtail
boats and speed boats. The accommodation is very basic but does the
job and i would recommend staying in the beach front villa s as it
is only 3 steps until you reach the beach, the beach has plenty of
shade for those of you who cant bask in the glorious sunshine. The
Restaurant isnt too hot on service and if there are two of you eating
pick wisely from the menu as you tend to get your meals separately
although you order at the same time!!!! A pleasant stay on the whole
if only staying for a couple of days!! |

The pickup service was booked by sawadee and was ok from the airport.
More than one hours waiting for the boat on chalong bay with 3 children
after 22 hours trip... The boats is old and shuld be retired at once.
When we arrived the Island the staff was wery helpfull, and they pick
up all the bags on the boat and bring them to the room. The resort
is a quiet and nice place and there where wery few guest. The beach
is wery nice when the tide is high, at low tide you can see the corals
from the beach. When you traveling to this island, do it when the
tide is high at the right time, high about 1pm, we did. The water
is clear, good snorkeling, but bring your own mask, no quality mask
on the island. The corals at banana beach, further east on the island,
is the best for snorkeling, mutch better then the beach by the resort.
The food is expensive and be carefull when choosing food... you may
end up on the toilet for many days...I did.. The doubble beachfront
bugalow with interconecting door, lies just 6 steps from the sea by
high tide, the standard is low, lower than expected, the bath rooms
ar dark blue and the water in the bungalow is wery salty. No TV but
thats ok, in the evening we was sitting outside talking as we looking
and listening too the sea and drinking red wine. All in all the stay
was nice and peacefull, don t stay here more than 3-4 night and remember
the standard is low. |

The hotel is overall good, the rooms are clean and tidy (bunglow on
the waterfront) the down side is if you want to go to Phuket for shopping
of sight seeing the hotel charges a premium for ferry services, 800THB
PER person for a return trip. The rooms have no TV, Internet connections,
Phone and all the bath water is salty sea water, which play havoc
with your hair and skin as there is no way to wash the salt of. |

Staff overall very friendly and helpful. The massage was excellent
albeit very expensive and this was confirmed in Bangkok as my husband
did the Thai massage course at the Wat Po. Resort is run down and
not value for money spent. Pool table lousy. No TV in rooms. Shower
water was salty so one could taste it. Food overpriced and mediocre.
Had diarrhoea the entire time there which resolved as soon as we left.
Power went out twice in the 9 days there. Could only snorkell 2 hours
of each day as too windy in the morning for visibility and the tide
right out in the afternoon. Coral not so good as it looks like a bit
of dynamiting has occurred there in the past. Would not recommend
to any of my friends. |

A very peaceful resort on a lovely island. The bungalows on the sea
front are the most popular and with good reason - lovely sea views
and sunsets and if you are lucky enough to get one of these they are
worth it. We had to go a day early due to a flight change and the
resort were very good about changing the arrangements. They were also
honest about the bungalow we had requested and told us that we d have
to have a different one just for that night but would be able to move
next day, which was what happened. As for the resort itself, it is
not luxury, so don t go there expecting a 5 star resort. However,
it is clean. The beachside bungalows are better than the ones on the
two rows further back as we stayed in the second row the first night
before moving to the beachside. There is only one interconnecting
bungalow on the beach, but there are more further back. Behind the
pool there are some bungalows which look much newer but all of these
were vacant, presumably because they don t have much of a view. Service
at the resort was pretty good. Breakfast was good when it was a buffet,
not so good when it wasn t. It was getting towards the end of the
season so this may be why they stopped doing the buffet. Evening meals
seemed to be on a 3 day rotation. Sometimes a buffet, sometimes a
la carte, but a la carte was always available anyway. considering
it is the only resort on the island, prices were reasonable. Transport
to the island was via speedboat, so best not to take heavy luggage
as you have to hop off the boat on the beach and walk - there is no
jetty. Our return journey was at low tide, which is something people
could bear in mind as it involved us having to wade through the shallows,
hop on a long tail boat which took us deeper out to where the speedboat
was waiting. It was good fun, but I wouldn t fancy it with older people
or babies. All in all, a lovely place to stay - we will go back there
again, making sure we get the times of the tides right this time! |

I was a bit disappointed with the Coral Beach Resort. The room was
okay, clean and attractive in a simple way. The water from the shower
seemed to be a combination of fresh and salt water, which was a bit
weird. The food was fair, at best. Breakfast was okay, perhaps the
best quality of the day. The snorkelling was substandard, as the sand
seemed to be continually stirred up by the changing tides. Worst of
all, it was not possible to swim at the beach between about noon and
5 p.m., due to low tide. So, most of your day you cannot use the beach
right in front of you. Lastly, there was an issue with my keys going
missing . I am sure I left them on the table on my patio area (not
a great move, but I do know where they were). When I returned from
about 10 minutes in the water, they were gone. Not only my room key,
but my safe key. The resort had no master key, so they had to drill
my belongings out. I was charged 1,500 baht. I would not recommend
this resort. |

15 mn by speed boat from Phuket. Bungalows were what we d expect (clean,
good furniture). The beach is nice with enough shadow. The sea water
is quite clear and under water is very beautiful to snorkle at high
tide (very few water at low tide and a lot of coral and stone : necessary
to wear shoes). All people and staff of the Resort are very nice.
Food are good quality with a great choice and reasonable prices (only
restaurant available on the island at evening). The resort was 30%
full only and most chared installations could be betterly maintened
(swimming pool). We regret not to be able to use internet (doesn t
exist). Also the beach is half day crowded with tourists on tour from
Phuket. This is not so nice (noisy with speed boats and dirty too).
The dive centre closed to the Resort is awfull (old and broken equipments,
no boat to go diving around other islands, master diver who doesn
t care about clients!). It is necessary to go to Phuket for diving
and this costs a lot?!! We regret this point very much. The Resort
is very nice for a good rest and snorkle only. Thank you to the team
of Coral island Resort for its kindness. French family with 3 boys.
