Phuket Merlin Hotel, Phuket Town
MY husband & I enoyed our vacation in Thailand. This trip would have
been perfect if not for the unprofessionalism of the staff at the
Phuket Merlin. We left Phuket with a bitter taste in our mouths. We
had a problem concerning our bill. The hotel charged us $60 for a
5 minute international call. The front desk personnel insisted that
the call ran for 54 minutes. We asked the manager to help us settle
the problem since they were clearly not empowered ( nor capable) of
making decisions. They lied to us telling us that the manager will
be attending to us shorly. They kept telling us to wait for 30 minutes
only to find out that the manager is away for the holidays. They just
stood there until we gave up as we have a flight to catch. This is
the worst hotel anyone can stay in. The staff would pretend not to
understand nor speak English if there is a problem. They even laughed
after we left the front desk. DO NOT EVER consider staying in this
hotel. The famous Thai friendliness & hospitality that we have experienced
in other hotels was never felt or seen in this place. BEWARE OF THE
PHUKET MERLIN! DO NOT EVEN SEND YOUR WORST ENEMY IN THIS HOTEL! |
