Hotel Kalim Bay, Patong Beach
Small intimate hotel, 5 mins from Patong centre by tut tut. Nice quiet
location. Excellent food & very courteous, friendly & helpful staff.

THIS HOTEL FROM 09/10/2006 TO 28/10/06. ON SUNDAY 15/10/06 THIEF OPEN
MY ROOM RIPPED MY SUITCASE STOLE WHAT WHOSE EASY TO CARRY AND RIPPED
THE SAFE OF THE WALL AND WALKED OUT OF THE HOTEL POLICE REPORT 8&10
ON 16/10/06 KATHU POLICE STATION. REMARK FROM G/MANAGER HE MUST HAVE
SOMEBODDY FROM THE STAFF NO HELP WHAT SO EVER FROM MANAGEMENT ACCORDING
TO THAI LAW I AM ENTITELED TO 500 BAHT REGARDLESS WHAT I LOST THERE
IS MORE TO UNHELPFULNESS FROM MANAGEMENT. I WILL LET YOU MAKE YOUR
OWN MINED. |

The hotel is very very very bad it s dirty and very spoky the pictures
in internet webside is not the same when we arrived there i noticed
nobody live there i wondered but in the night i felt herror. The rooms
dirty and the beach too I made reservation for 3 nights i spent only
one houre and left the hotel, i strongly not recommend it. |

We stayed at The Orchid Hotel for almost two weeks and loved almost
every minuet of it. We were a little taken back by the hotel at first
glance but as we were checking in the staff brought us over some pineapple
juice and made us feel very much at home right off. The room was very
nice and over looked Kalim bay, but could have used a little remodeling.
They were doing construction on the hotel next to ours and it was
a little noisey during the day but since we were never in the hotel
during the day it didn t matter. The nights at the hotel were very
quiet and you are only a 5 min. walk/2 min. tugtug ride to Patong
so your away from the noises that place brings. The staff was extremely
awesome and helped when they could. All in all I would say that this
hotel is a great find, should you want to be away from the city and
not want to pay an arm and a leg. I recommend this hotel to anyone. |

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Orchid
Hotel Kalim Bay. The staff were very friendly and only to happy to
assist with any requests we made. The rooms were spotless and clean
linen was provided every day.Breakfast was included in our package
and was a most enjoyable a-la-carte meal. We would have no hesitations
in recommending this hotel to budget minded travellers. You certainly
get value for money here. |

Small hotel with nicely decorated rooms, but need urgently upgrade
and maintenance. As seen at many Thai managed hotels, the concept
and build is well planned, but after finishing the project, never
spend any single Baht for maintenance. Staff friendly and very helpfull.
Breakfast standard, but ok. Quite a lot of noise from the road in
front of the hotel, as seems to be the race point for motorbikes.
Unusual remark at the rooms guest folder: Overnight guests after 22
hrs arriving, will be charged with 1.000 THB. No comment. |

this is a very home feel and comfortable hotel that I ve never visit
before in thailand,staffs friendly smile,honest,fresh breakfast,clean,and
good price.better than some four stars hotels. |
