Beachcomber
Hotel, Chaweng Beach
This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The location was great as it was
only a few minutes walk to the shops restaurants and nightlife. The
staff were really friendly, helpful and always available to carry
out any requests I had asked. The rooms were big enough for two and
very cosy, clean and linen changed every day. I can t describe how
truly comfortable I felt here...Loved it and would definitely return. |

This was a fabulous hotel with very pleasant & helpful staff. We had
arranged pick up from the airport through our hotel, however we missed
our connecting flight from bangkok to Koh Samui and therefore had
to go on next flight 1 hour later. we thought we would have to make
our own way when reached the airport, but the taxi driver had waited
a whole 2 hours for us. we were greeted at hotel reception by bell
boy who looked after all our luggage and 2 welcome cocktails brought
to our room. our room was the basic superior room on 3rd floor, very
big with 2 double beds in it. spotless and cleaned every day. (i would
advise to request room on 2nd or 3rd floor as ground floor had quite
a smell some days from sewrage, however this is all over the island
so no indication on cleanliness of hotel).hotel also provided beach
towels every day which was great. restaurant was very nice as was
the bar. hotel is situated on the nicest part of the beach with a
wonderful beachside service providing drinks and food and some of
the best massages ever!! its at the end of the busy strip of bars
and restaurants which is quite nice but literally only mins walk away!
really enjoyed stay here and will definitly be returning to this hotel.

My 2nd stay in this hotel and another good experience. Staff cannot
do enough and nothing is too much trouble. Restaurant is excellent,
rooms are spacious and very clean. For 2200 Baht per night in low
season, you simply won t get better value. |

I have stayed in many hotels along Chaweng Beach and this is by far
the best. Genuinely friendly staff, nice pool, large superior room
with power shower (important as some hotels have no water pressure)All
superior rooms have a double and single bed. TV in rooms have a good
variety of channels inc movies and kids. Excellent restaurant overlooking
the beach serving great food at reasonable prices. Plenty of sunbeds
on the beach everyday, also drinks and food served on the beach. Good
central location and only a five minute stroll from the nightlife
of Chaweng. This is the sister hotel of The Blue Lagoon, which had
a huge pool that Beachcomber guests are welcome to use. A free shuttle
bus runs between the two hotels. Yes, you probably could find a superior
hotel in Samui but you would have to pay at least twice the price

Beachcomber Hotel, Chaweng Beach
This was our 2nd stay at the Beachcomber Hotel and we would highly
recommend it. It was recommended by a friend when we first visited
in 2002 as they stay every year and said it was an ideal place to
stay. In fact we have stayed at many different places in Chaweng including
the Central Samui, Chaweng Regent, Paradise Resort and we would rate
the Beachcomber as the best overall place to stay. The location is
in the middle of Chaweng beach where they keep the beach very tidy
and the swimming/sand is superb. The hotel is a good size not too
big and impersonal like the Central Samui. The staff are all very
friendly and helpful, the restaurant is in a lovely location right
on the beach front and the food is excellent. The rooms are spacious
and very clean, they offer a great beach towel service. The beach
massage ladies are the best (they have been there for a number of
years). The bar has a good happy hour. The only thing that possibly
could be improved is to make the swimming pool more of a feature but
it is perfectly adequate and clean as it is. We will be back many
times again. |

Beachcomber Hotel, Chaweng Beach
Location was good (right on the beach), quiet but with good access
to the main Chaweng road at front of hotel. Located at the middle
section of Chaweng beach macking all sections of Chaweng weasily accessible.
Basic room but had all the essentials (Aircon, safe, fridge, wetroom
etc). Nice and clean. Pool was OK, quiet and shaded - a nice relief
from the beach - which was also a good central location. Restraunt
was good - breakfast, snacks and evening meals. Service and staff
were excellent - very helpful and polite. A little expensive maybe,
but overall a good package and would definately consider a return
visit. |
