Chaweng
Blue Lagoon, Chaweng Beach
This was our third visit at this hotel. We like the atmophere. Especially
restaurant staff and pool staff is friendly and smiling. Food is exeellent.
We also like that there is no fight about sunbeds. On the other hand
rooms needed some renovation. And we don´t like evening fireworks,
too noisy. |

What can i say. I read some so so reviews about noisy rooms and being
far from the better beach area all i think were written in error.
the service staff (especially the pool staff) were amazing. 20 feet
from the beach was great. yeh its at the quiet end of chaweng ( if
thats possible)but it is a 3 minute walk along the beach to the deaper
swimming area. you dont need to leave the pool. The room was great
,I extended my stay 3 days and for the price i would recommend this
hotel to everyone. felt like 5.5 star. My thanks to the pool staff
who s abuility to hold a conversation (in english) and still provide
good service was incredible. The bar price is reasonable and room service
tops. can hire bikes and tours from hotel all great value. for those
single travellers who want to live it up a little this is the place
, for honeymooners no need to leave the room. |

Nous avons passé un agréable sejour entre amis malgré un service limité
, personnel peu souriant ! Je n y retournerai pas car par rapport
au prix ... la qualité n y est pas . |

This is the worst service in a hotel I have ever experienced. I requested
a late check out upon arriving, which they refused, yet my room was
still not ready at 9.30pm. On the day of leaving they repeatedly called
asking us to vacate the room and claimed that the hotel was full.
Yet the sign outside clearly said there were rooms available. I cannot
see how a hotel like this expects to get repeat customers. |

the deluxe pool view villa was very spacious and modern with a great
bathroom. The deck outside facing the pool was large and only a hop
skip and a jump away from the pool. The cocktail party at the pool
bar was a nice touch. Would definetly stay again in the same villa |

wow, what an absolute oversell...this place is badly in need of update,
the rooms despearately need a makeover and an update, we had a sea
facing villa that must have been older than me, inadequate aircon,
noisy fan, screeens that fell off the balcony, bathroom quite outdated,
linen and towels must have been at the end of thie washed out lives,
and old TV technol;ogy....the breakfast buffet was vanilla, no variety
and a sameness and blandness that was extraordinary...imagine being
in Thailand and having no thai food to eat!! and as for the management,
well swiss arrogance reigns supreme, a good example was daniel trainee
manager, who was next to useless, couldnt answer any questions about
the operation of the hotel and treated the managment process at breakfast
as chatting to a eurpoean couple and totally ignoring the service
requirements of other guests..his lack of involvement was astounding...if
you want to experience a better time in Thailand, go elsewhere |

Very satisfied, so we decided to come again early 2006. What we liked
after 3 other hotels experiences in Koh Samui was that we did not
have to fight for a sunchair as in many other hotels.Of course everything
else was perfect .. Paul and Anja from Finland |

Chaweng Blue Lagoon, Chaweng Beach
Blue Lagoon was a well run, clean and confortable place to stay. Great
location close to Chaweng Beach but not too close to the busiest section.
Many lights and plants outside give the pool area a nice feel. The
massage area behind the pool is outstanding. Very good economical
massages. They were very popular. The room is clean, with good air
con. and water pressure. Many English channels to watch if your are
so inclined. No problem with hot water running out either. Housekeeping
was very prompt, often cleaning the room while we were at breakfast.
Beach towels were changed nightly. Breakfast was decent (the omelettes
made it worth it). There was also great service by the pool - great
food, too. There were a few negatives. The coffee was horrible, but
it was horrible everywhere I stayed - not sure why. The pool closes
at 7pm which is a bit early. The drinks at the pool did seem watered
down, especially at happy hour (5-7pm) The beach is not in the best
location as it is not inviting to swim. We actually liked this as
it was only a short walk down to the busy spot on the beach and it
felt more secluded when tanning on the beach - no jet skis and less
hawkers. Overall I would recommend a stay at this hotel for anyone
who wants to be near the action but not necessarily in it. The staff
are very professional and you will have a very pleasant stay. |

the hotel was very nice, very clean and the persons very polite. the
only thing, pay attention not to take a room near the street - it
seems to be on a highway |
