Coral
Cove Resort, Coral Cove Beach
We had the simple Beachfront Bungalows and thatīs all the good stuff
to tell about the Coral Cove Resort. OK, they had a relaxing opinion
about handling their motorbikes. And in their inability of speaking
english at all, they are friendly indeed. But these are no arguments
for me to book this resort again. No cleaning, really really simple
bungalows and drowsy service in the restaurant (which was on the other
side simple, but cheap and tasty). If you want secluded beaches, stay
elsewhere and go to Coral Cove by motorbike for one day or two...! |

Arrived at the airport... no one to meet us. Called them and was told
to hang on for 30 minutes without apology. The room was not ready
when we got there and was sparse to say the least. Also wasn t cleaned
on the second day and only on the third when asked. The staff consisted
of the whole family with only the Dad speaking English. They were
less helpful than strangers on the street. Also one night my partner
and I went for a stroll on the beach after dark to be met by a security
guard shining a torch in our faces and frog marched back to our room!
Hardly romantic. The views aside this place especially regarding the
price is nothing short of awful and I wouldn t stay there again if
you paid me. Also the bungalows weren t secure (weak locks)and no
safety box was provided. DO NOT STAY HERE! |

Huts are way to close to each other and we found a long black hair
in our fried rice. The room was clean but it is not my favorite. |

Nice and calm Resort, nice beach and very friendly people. The Thai-food
is fantastic. The frontbeach-fan-bungalow was simple but clean. Unfortunately
there was low water, so we all cut our feet within a few minutes.
That made the nice beach for us uncomfortable and we went to Chaweng
Beach. The price for the extra bed was in relationship to other resorts
to high!(but it was possible to pay with VISA) Summary: Coral Cove
Resort was a great place to stay - recommendable! |

pleasant quiet resort hidden between Chaweng n Lamai. Totally away
from the noise n crowds of Chaweng. The villas are v comfortable with
stunning views of the rocky coast. The short stretch of beach wasnt
particularly inviting though. Staff friendly and breakfast portions
were more than adequate. Will definitely return to it on my next visit. |

What a wonderful place. The manager Nyu went out of his way for me.
An awesome location. My snorkeling was cutailed when I cut myself
on the coral so be careful and you ll be blissed out. |

We had a hillside villa, the panoramic view was wonderful, villaclean
and tidy, although we had to ask for clean towels and toilet roll, staff
not very friendly but helpful, breakfast could have been better, beach
a bit small but adequite, but pollution in the water was very bad
at times, overall we had a great time and glad we were not at lamai
or chaweng beach,if you want a quiet and peaceful time this is the
place to go. |

Coral Cove was just like the photograph - idyllic and peaceful (especially
as we were there in low season). The family who run the resort are
very kind and extremely helpful, although there are occasions when
there is no-one around who speaks English (our taxi transfer from
airport to resort somehow fell through the cracks, but no real problem).
Flowers in the rooms, spotlessly clean (and spacious)accommodation,
decent hot shower and tea/coffee facilities with fridge. No phone
in villa, but plenty of bedding and towels, and air con was great.
The view from the balcony (large) was stunning. Meals, drinks and
jeep hire all arranged for us with a smile - they even brought us
umbrellas unasked during one of the rainy days. Chaweng is a short
hop by taxi or pickup (100B per person, about 5 minutes), so shoppping
snd restaurants are easy to reach. Only downside was the pretty beach
(coconuts, shells, coral) was rather dirty, probably because it was
the rainy season and there was a lot of debris about. Loved Thailand
and Samui, and we d go to Coral Cove again. |

Coral Cove Resort was a very nice Resort, with very friendly people.
Our Bungalow was clean, and had plenty of space. It was also directly
on the beach, which was also very beautiful. Not too full, very personal,
and clean. |
