Cheap compared to the neighbours, but I think you could probably get better value in the village itself. Hot water in the shower was sporadic, and not available in the sink; the room was only cleaned once during my stay (10 days) and the lighting quite dim. That said, I extended twice as it has a very laid back atmosphere and is fine if you are looking after yourself and not expecting hotel service. Let s face it, who s going to sit in there room all day while on holiday? Friends called and were told I had checked out which was annoying. Check out the massage on the beach out front, they were always busy.

A nice relaxed, family run hotel. It s basic, but for the price very good value. The staff are friendly, the restaurant great and the bar will stay open if you want a few quiet night caps. Beach chairs at the front, massage, etc on the beach. I recommed it if you want a basic, but relaxed breach break.

Art (manager) is hilarious. He literally cracked us up every time he spoke. The staff is very friendly. The bartender is awesome. A very quiet place to stay which was very nice. Bring bug repellant for nightime. You can easily rent cycles and jeeps. Recommended stay. Close to Fisherman s Village where there are several good restaurants. Highly recommended to rent a jeep or cycle and travel around the island. Pack light as there are several places to wash clothes for a very cheap price (30BAT/kg). The sun is scorchingly hot so make sure to pack suntan lotion. The B52 tastes marvelous from the bar. The Chef salad and coffee are good as well. Pretty much the manager Art makes it a great place to stay.

Freehouse is an excellent bungalow hotel. The hotel is locationed on a nice part of Bophut..actually, the nicer hotels on this beach are not always the case. Freehouse has an open area restaurant which is very calming and also social. The rooms were perfect. We rented many rooms and they were all perfect. Air-con and basic rooms were all nice. It depends what matters to you. The food is excellent! (not always the case at some hotels) It says a lot about the owners to know that they really care about dogs and there are nice pets to the hotel. Diffenately recommended!!!

The ideal place for dog-lovers! Price compared to the room- size/equipment is too high, you can get better for less! NO room-service 5 days (no new towels, paper or linings, rubbish is your own thing). Wear rubber boots if it rains to enter from the main road you might get stuck in mud/dirt! Restaurant too expensive especially ALL drinks (i.e. 1 Chang-beer THB 120.-, 1 Coke 45!!!). Go 5 minutes to your left (Bophut-direction) and pay for the same in new really nice restaurant THB 55/20! Swimming between rubbish, plastics and oil-canister! Not recommended!

Great place for the money yet the beach was pretty rough. All in all I would recommend

The resort is not located very conveniently but you could find restaurant, travel agency, motobike rent shop, etc., around. The beach where the resort located is great and the garden is also extremely wonderful. All people said the restaurant of the resort was delicious but I think it s just normal. Everyone is helpful and kind but the fat guy (might be the supervisor or the boss?) only had a normal attitude. The massage on the beach is great. Generally, everything is ok.

We were 2 friends travelling together and took the 2 bedroom bungalow. Our stay was exactly how we hoped it would be, very relaxing, great resort with the best food and absolutely no hitches. I was speaking to the owner about dolphins and unbelievably 3 or 4 appeared, jumping and playing...it was beautiful.
