Overall great hotel but they seem to be overbooking their premier
sea-facing rooms. We were upgraded to a junior suite as well as another
couple. But some people were downgraded to the garden room or something.
Employees were excellent and really went out of their way to please.
Breakfast buffet was good and the variety of types of dinners was
nice although we went to the restaurants down the beach mostly. Nice
location, away from Chaweng but only a 4 minute drive. This hotel
is used by many Germans and Italians and the Germans like to reserve
their seats by the pool by placing their towels on the chairs early
in the morning and showing up in the afternoon. If you get there early
enough, simply remove the towel and you shouldn t have a problem.
Air conditioner did smell like a sewer after a large rain for some
reason. Bathtub on balcony was very nice. Bring mosquito repellant.
We would definitely go back though and we had a great vacation overall. |

Pools, garden, restaurant, breakfast buffet and the junior suite are
nice. Deluxe rooms, activities and english language with some of the
staff can be better. Overall a nice hotel, but the price level is
a bit above the standard. |

We really enjoyed the overall holiday experience.Check in formalities
were handled in a very relaxed yet professional manner and our Superior
Seaview reservation was upgraded to a Junior Suite which was beautifully
furnished ,expansive ,great bathroom and even an aditional bathtub
on the balcony. The Seaview was partially blocked by palm trees .The
breakfast buffet was a real pleasure with great variety and quality
and attentive service for hot drinks etc. Both swimming pools had their
own charm with the seawater eternity pool adjacent to the beach being
the most popular. The beach area was adequate without being sensational.Along
the beach to the right are a few local Thai restaurants with top marks
going to Beach Love for their food, service.price levels and nice background
music and we also enjoyed a beach buffet organised by the hotel. The
only negative comment concerns the distance and slope between the
main building and the beach which might create difficulties for ageing
or handicapped people. All in all we recommend this hotel for those
seeking a quality resort with great service. |

The room was very good and in a great location. A premier sea facing
room, really does face the sea!!! The hotel facilities were good with
plent of availability of sunbeds around the pools or on the beach.
The beach was clean. The food in the beach bar at lunchtimes was very
inexpensive and offered plenty of choice. The evening buffet dinners
were good quality. There were very good beach restraunts within walking
distance of the hotel. The only downside was that personal items were
lost from our room one afternoon and the process of reporting it to
the police was difficult. All in all an excellent hotel, we will definately
return. |

Imperial Samui Hotel, Chaweng Noi Beach
The Imperial Samui was a major disappointment. Nothing to do with
a 4 star hotel as expected and definitely not worth the price. Of
course staff was nice and helpful but they are like that everywhere
on the island. The room was a long walk from everything and everything
from internet connection to drinks, phone calls and food was WAY too
expensive. Either go for something really nice or go for something
cheaper. Imperial Samui wasn t worth the money at all. |

Imperial Samui Hotel, Chaweng Noi Beach
The Imperial Samui hotel is a quality hotel about 5 minutes south
of Chaweng by car. It has two excellent pools (although 90% of people
only use the salt water pool) and many additional facilities like
a tennis court, massage, tour desk, etc (but strangely no gym). We
also had a DVD player in the room, which was fantastic. The main points
to consider about this hotel are: 1. It is 5 minutes out of the main
part of Chaweng although it is easy to get there. It does cost 50
baht/person each way though and this can start to add up. 2. The base
level rooms looked a little small and some of them overlook the road
(i.e. you don t even need to go through the lobby to get to them).
We stayed in a junior suite which was excellent but I think all higher
tier rooms would be good. 3. The beach is quite nice but not particularly
clean. This is not the hotel s fault, but does mean that the beach
is not as well used as it could be. There are a few little restaurants
around - three or four on the beach and one Italian resturant across
the road. However, we tended to go into Chaweng most nights for a
meal and drinks. |

Had a great time - hotel was wonderful - nice rooms, great pools and
beach front, friendly service, away from the noise of Chaweng Beach
but close enough to go out for dinner, shopping etc. Would highly
recommend to other travellers. |
