Lipalodge
Beach Resort, Lipa Noi Beach
Secluded, small resort; the bungalows are surrounded by well-tended
beautiful gardens. The natural beach in front of the open reception
and restaurant-area was clean and quiet (no vendors) with nice views
and marvellous sunsets. The sea at Lipa Noi Beach is very shallow,
so not good for snorkelling. But there is the possibility to book
day trips at the reception. The Pool area was well-maintained with
sunbeds and parasols. Accommodation (Luxury beachfront bungalow) was
very spacious, comfortable and clean. Food in the restaurant was good
- menu was mainly Thai with a few western dishes; good variety and
reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and most helpful. The resort
is quite remote. The nearest supermarket is a 10-15 minutes walk away;
there are three other resorts in about 10 minutes walking distance
along the beach. ( Big John provided free transport when we booked
a table for Dinner at their restaurant.) The town of Nathon with shopping
facilities and Ferry services is about 4-5 kilometres from the resort,
we paid 300 baht one way for the taxi. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
at Lipa Lodge and recommend the resort for everyone looking for a
peaceful and relaxing holiday away from the crowds. |
