Villa
Nalinnadda, Lamai Beach
Villa Nalinnadda was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were lovely,
the pool was great and the staff were the most friendly and happy
staff I have ever come across. I would definately recommend this
place to people looking for a quiet and romantic place to stay. |

Villa Nalinnadda, Lamai Beach
The hotel has a good looking appeal right from the doorstep to the
swimming pool. However, once I was brought to my room, I was very
disappointed with the size of the room. The room was small, just
the four poster bed, a small desk behind and a small wardrobe at
the back. Though the hotel was sweet to decorate the room with petals,
the wine that was due to come with the package as part of the promo
did not come till I asked for it. I was also very disappointed to
see a brown stain (looks like blood stain) on the top of my comforter.
That wasn t very up to standard. The toilet was a bit of a disappointment
cos it s hot (non-air conditioned) and what s worse is the shower
area was on the balcony which meant I had to be fully covered in
order to enter my shower. That provided a great inconvenience and
lack of privacy. Mine was A3 unit. Then I realised on my third day,
that the room on the next block was much better as it had blinds
to cover up the open area where the shower is. That had way more
privacy than my unit. When I asked the staff about it, they just
said it was different. I was quite displeased with that. Lastly,
the jacuzzi on the third floor was also open, right on the balcony.
This meant that I had to be in my bikini when I enjoy my jacuzzi
with my husband on our honeymoon (I got a rash from the jacuzzi
so you better clean it before you use it). I also realised the other
units (ground floor and middle levels) had jacuzzis in the privacy
of the bathroom which is much better though this has a good view.
The beach wasn t good though and was always on low tide. Nobody
ventured out to the beach anyways. The staff is friendly and nice
and one of them spoke very good english. But the daily water was
not replenished as well as it should. They don t provide you with
an electric kettle unless you request for it. There is no phone
in the room too so you ll need to walk down to the lobby to ask
for stuff. The breakfast is not bad too and you get to select from
a menu of 6 types of breakfast. The bad thing is, they ll ask you
what time you want your breakfast which meant you d have to wake
up at a specific time for your breakfast. The location of the hotel
is not good though. It s far from the town areas and cabs usually
jack up their prices higher when they know of the location. Most
cab drivers have no idea where this hotel is, so get the staff to
write the address down in thai so you can show it to the driver.
You ll need to grab a cab from the hotel to get to Lamai or Chaweng
area for meals if you do not wish to eat at the hotel. The hotel
provides free use of the steam room and free internet access on
a laptop in their computer room. The overall experience was okay
but I felt the price was a little too steep for what you re getting,
which is a room that can only contain a bed and a TV at the side
and no walking space between the TV and the bed. |

This hotel is not a hotel, it s like a second house where we are
guests. The place is lovely, the service is perfect, and people
and very kind. We were like in honey moon again. I never find this
quality before, that s certainely due to people and the hotel size.
Hope to go there again. |

Villa Nalinnadda, Lamai Beach
Villa Nalinnadda is definitely the best hotel that I have ever been.
There are only 8 rooms, all facing the sea. I took the room B5 which
is located on the top floor (3rd flr) with the jaccuzi on the balcony
which I think it s the best room out the 8 rooms. The breakfast
is not a buffet but is already more than enough. No matter what
time you wake up, they serve your breakfast in your room as you
request. The staff are nice and helpful. You just don t wanna leave
the property except for meals cos the food there is ok but actually
not really good and you can find better restaurant in the Lamai
beach which is not far away. The only disadvantages about this hotel
is that it is located right besides the road with quite a heavy
traffic which you can hear the noise made by the heavy vehicles
and the beach which is just steps away is too shallow for swimming
but it s quiet & clean. I will definitely stay here again for my
next Koh Samui visit. |

My husband and I stayed here for two night at the end of our holiday
and thought it was beautiful. The buildings and rooms are spacious,
well designed and immaculately decorated. All with perfect views
from the bedroom and bathroom out to sea. The jacuzzi bath and bifolding
doors everywhere was a nice touch. With so few rooms and therefore
guests this hotel provides a sense of intimacy that I have rarely
experienced anywhere else. I liked the fact that you could have
any breakfast you want at any time in your room. I can t wait to
come back and stay here again but feel like we may have to join
the queue once this secret gets out. |
