New Lapaz Villa, Maenam Beach
The Resort itself is located at a beautiful, quiet beach, normally
ideal for people searching for recreation and stillness, but Bungalows
are quite simple and not very clean. The owner didnt tell me before
that they will renovate the pool during my stay. So i had to stand
the noise of a working area. She was unfriendly, not helpful and not
willing to give a discount or an excuse for that inconvenience. Breakfast
and Dinner at the restaurant is not to recommend. For that price you
would find a better place in the neighbourhood. |

New Lapaz Villa, Maenam Beach
Nice bungalows, a bit run down but very nice garden/view. New Lapaz
has a small swimming pool, not for swimming but to cool down. There
seem to live some long term residents, who behave a little bit strange
(reckless to other guests). |

New Lapaz Villa, Maenam Beach
The hotel is nice - however it could use a little makeover - some
parts of the beaches are quite dirty. We stayed in a bungalow right
at the beach. It had a nice patio from were you could look on the
ocean. The room however was a bit dirty - we had many ants crossing
our bed at nighttime. The hotel is good if you want to be away from
everything, the prices in the restaurants are very fair and the food
quality is good. However, it is hard to reach places from the hotel´-
you cannot walk along the beach to Maenam without crossing deep water.
You need to have a moped to get anywhere you want. There is internet
available for 1,5 Baht/minute. The hotel is family runned and the
whole family is hanging out at the hotel all the time. For the price
you might find better deals in low season. |

New Lapaz Villa, Maenam Beach
We was very happy with New Lapaz, the bungalows weren´t luxurious
but they were nice enough and clean - the service was great as well.
Good location, right on the beach but you need to have a moped or
taxi to get anywhere you want. |

New Lapaz Villa, Maenam Beach
This is a lovely quiet location on Koh Samui to stay. The restaurant
overlooks the beach and is very pleasant. The bungalows are very basic,
but sufficient for us as we spent a lot of time out. We did move after
five days as it was a little too quiet for us. New Lapaz is off the
main road about 5 mins walk, which I felt made it a little too remote
for us, but ideal for quiet holiday seekers. Good restaurant, nice
pool and friendly staff. |
