I would strongly recommend this hotel/resort to any of my friends or fellow travellers. The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff were some of the friendliest that I have ever encountered in Thailand. The food in the restaurants was excellent and the buffet breakfast served every morning was delicious and the various choices ensured that any appetite would be satisfied. The beach in front of the hotel was wonderful and the two swimming pools ensured sufficient space for everyone to enjoy a relaxing spot to sun tan or simply relax. I can t say enough about this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone, whether travelling as a couple or as a family.

Hotel is sited on the beach with good amenities. However, cottage rooms remind you of Japanese hotels with hardly room to swing a cat. We put our luggage into our room and went out to process film. On our return 20 minutes later, the cottage was reeking of sewage smell. On our complaint, cleaning staff came to survey the situation who then called the reception to confirm the incident. We were then offered another cottage which was not as well placed. This took nearly 11/2 hours to resolve. We requested an upgrade or some compensation, i.e.Dinner for 2. Eventually the Duty Manageress came in to resolve the matter. Unfortunately, She was very cold and unhelpful and suggested the smell had gone,(the cleaning staff sprayed the cottage with strong perfume which masked the smell momentarily),the best she could do was to cancel the booking and let us look for another hotel. As we were staying for 1 night only due to non availability, we had no option but to stay at the hotel. Incidentily, when later in the evening we passed by the original cottage, the whole area smelled horribly. Drainage system in the 2nd cottage was also very poor. My view is that perhaps the hotels needs to overhaul its Drainage system. Hotel has an excellent swiming pool and jacuzzi. Apart from the Manageress, staff were very kind and helpful.

Although the (bath)rooms are a bit outdated the Chaweng Regent Hotel is a perfect location for a relaxed vacation with very good service and very friendly personnel. It s location, right in the middle of Chaweng, gives easy access to all the shops, restaurants, bars, etc. but without the disturbance of the noise going along with that. I would certainly return to this hotel on my next trip to Samui

A lovely hotel right on the beach, service was very good and nothing was too much trouble for the attentitive staff. The hotel has beautiful gardens and pools and the walk throughthe garens up to the main road was always a pleasure. We stayed in a deluxe room which was very comfortable and clean with a lovely housemaid who came in every day. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

A good hotel on Chaweng beach although inside the lagoon area which is away from the jetskis. Great breakfast. Deluxe rooms are nice and roomy. It is only a 4* hotel to me. Great with children. Staff all friendly and we had a great stay.

Our first trip to Asia. Koh Samui was our third leg of four. From the moment we arrived we were almost speechless. Hotel was an island of tranquility in the busiest section of Chaweng beach. Shopping galor (wife was extremely happy) and pandamonium on the street yet step into the lobby area and it was like stepping into a jungle retreat. The staff were very friendly and accomidating, the room (deluxe villa) was perfect. We cannot comment too much on the restaurants as we tended to travel about and with so many otpions we never made it to the hotel for supper, the buffet breakfast was as good as any I ve seen (I ve seen a lot). The hotel also has a nice section of the beach protected by a reef so even if the waves are up it is sheltered there. Only critisism is the lack of enforcement on people who have the terrible habit of placing thier towels on lounge chairs to save them.

Excellent location on the growing end of Chaweng beach. Two pools and beach right outside your doorsteps, especially if staying in one of their Royal Suites. Great, shallow beach guarded by a coral reef 100 m offshore which breaks all wawes at daytime.

One of the best hotels in Chaweng and worth paying a little extra for. Excellent service and beautiful surroundings.
