My husband, 10 year old daughter and I stayed for 3 weeks in a Deluxe Bungalow. Without exception, all of the staff were friendly and helpful and the resort met all of our needs. We d have no hesitation in staying there agian. It s nice to see that there are still small resorts like this at Chaweng when many of the surrounding bulgalow are being replaced by luxury hotels.

the rooms was poor and I m looking for the bathroom. It s not like described on the web site. The breakfast was so good, the beach is ok but you cannot go in the water because a lot of rocks inside. I ll prefer the hotels in the center on the beach of chaweng is it enougth quite. We booked for 3 days and we stay only 1 night, after we are gone to CHABA Hotel more expensive but all right.

This was my first stay at the Island Resort, but my second in Koh Samui. The room was good, clean and a nice size. I stayed in three different rooms over the week (due to extending my stay twice and the hotel being heavily booked) I found the superior room to have a much better bathroom, compared to the delux, and the size was small but very managable. The food was good, not the best on the island but resonably priced and there is great service at the restaurant. The pool is very nice and the sun beds are great. The only problem is the beach, being in the lagoon the water is very shallow and there are some sharp shells and rocks hiding. Its about a 5min walk south to get to open water. Overall, my stay at the Island resort was good, I would stay there again!!

Room was great. Location, pool and restaurant were just what we wanted. Quiet at night but there was building work next door during the day. Most of the staff were exceptionally helpful apart from one lady on reception who was quite rude. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would go back again...

Great rooms..stayed in the ocenaview villa, would stay again. little bit loud at night but not too bad. Friendly staff and let us store our bags there when we returned to samui for a few hours to catch out flight home. Great place, would recommend to a friend.

Nice hotel, good price. We booked a standard air bugalow. It was a clean room, spacious bathroom with nice grounds. The Island provided the best free breakfast we d had our entire trip and they changed the food each day. The only downside was that the beach in front of the hotel was not swimable while we were there due to low tide season. But, in return, was much quieter and only a short walk to swimming areas. I would definitely stay here again

Our bungalow was very damp and it smelled very bad inside. Old bungalows, not so nice we thought. Pool area ok though. Food ok.

We stayed in the front seaview villa which was a very nice room. The room is large, the bed is big and comfortable, the bathroom is a little small but still nice and clean and big enough for us. Outside you have your own deck/balcony overlooking the pool and beach, a nice place to sit for a drink. As the pool closes at 8pm it is not noisy if you wish to have an early night. The service from the staff was friendly and attentive and the bar drinks/food is priced competitively. Over all for value for money it was excellent and we would definitely stay there again. Loved it.

The hotel was very nice in all respects. Nice, helpful, smiling staff as can usually be expected of the Thais. Good food and a good location. They are sprucing up the bungalows now with fresh paint, etc. For the money, I would highly recommend the Island Resort & Spa.
