Thongtakian
Resort, Thongtakian Beach
The resort is very basic and nothing spectacular. But everything was
clean and everything worked. The beach its on is quiet and beautiful
and if you walk 100m down the beach there is a break in the rocks
and you can wallow in the luke warm ocean. Try and book the sea view
ones, they at least have some sort of view of the beach and sea. |

Really great value hotel with beautiful news rooms and bathrooms.
We stayed in a garden chalet which was real tasteful with fridge,
air con and t.v. The location is fairly remote - in between Cchaweng
and Lemai but it is easy to grab a taxi 10 minutes either way. Staff
were friendly and helpful and it s positioning on a gorgeous secluded
bay with lovely beach bar was ideal! |

Perfect location in a silent area with a wonderful beach. Lamai and
Chaweng are in near distance. Very friendly staff and good service. |

We had a Deluxe Bungalow and found the accomodation very good value
for money. Everything worked and was clean and comfortable. The beach
is beautiful. A semi private bay. Transport required to go to Chaweng
(10 mins)for shopping, but that was no issue, I valued the seclusion.
Would go again for sure. |

Our stay at Thong Takian Villa was a delight. Very friendly and helpful
staff. The room was clean and comfortable; the beach lovely. Nothing
like having breakfast every morning on the beach, Thai massage in
the afternoon and being at a good location to get into town when desired!

The hotel is placed very beautiful with a wonderful view over the
bay. Room and shore are OK. We had planned to stay for 8 days at Thong
Takian Villa. We had chosen the place because we love swimming and
snorkling. BUT: Swimming was not possible because there were a lot
of sharp stones/corals all over the bottum of the sea. We discovered
that by cutting ourselves seriously on feet and hands at the first
swim. The manager of the hotel had not found it necessary to tell
us about that. We had ordered a seaview room for 3 persons 5 months
before arrival. In spite of that, the room was not free when we arrived.
We were offered two rooms with a long distance between them, so the
family was split up the first day of the holiday. We could not meet
in the beach bar because it was closed. The Homepage announced that
it was open between 12 -23 every day. The hotel ground was a place
of construction because they were building som new rooms for the hotel.
The building noise started at 7 o clock in the morning. If we wanted
to go to Chaweng or Lamai we had to rent a car/motorbike or go by
taxi (300 baht one way), because the hotel is very isolated. We chose
to leave the hotel after the first night. We moved to Long Beach Lodge
at Chaweng and spent a wonderful week at that place. |

It was really lovely!! The beach is in a cove hemmed in by mountains
and the water is rocky so swimming is a bit difficult. But, the view
is stunning and it s a really quiet place. It s perfect if you want
to relax and get a massage with a view of the water! The room was
great and there are no problems moving u around if they have the space.
There are quite a few dogs around (as pets) they are really playful,
and fun, but I thought I d mention it in case anyone s afraid of dogs.
All in all it was great and I d recommend it!! Have fun!! |
